- I finally got all information that needed to be added to the site's new images uploaded. It only took about eight months, but I have an excuse.

- I will be adding information to items that need it over the weekend. I know. Took me long enough, right?

Once that is done, then I will upload photos. There are a lot. I decided to just say screw it and take photos of all items I have purchased up until this point even though it's not a picture day. I just want to organize my collection already and I am tired of having them in storage.

The picture day set for November is still up since I will be adding more to collection in that time. November will be a no-spend month so that allows me to get what I really like until then.

- On another subject, I did not see Detective Pikachu in theaters because I really did not want to see it regardless of the hype. However, it is now On Demand for rent and I am tempted to watch it just because I am curious. I get to see it in the comfort of my own home and I don't have to pay an overpriced movie ticket to see it so why not?

That's all I have for now, cats. Stay cool.

- Holy cow, it has been a long time. I'm talking about nearing seven months here.

No, I am obviously not dead and anyone who says otherwise is BSing. However, I did take a break from this site not only because of my illness, I also had a lot of technical problems with my old mouse which, unlike myself, was knocking on death's door. I finally got a replacement mouse and it works like a charm. I can now edit without a care in the world.

Personal life wise, I have my good days and my bad. I'm not going to lie, the treatments suck major ass but I know they will cure me. It's been a difficult time since my last update, but I am getting better and that's the good thing.

- Now, enough of that personal stuff. Let's get to the content of the site itself and new photo updates...

Wow. Where to start..

I have not uploaded in a while, there are still items that need info put into them, and I have so many new items that listing every single one of them into Lioness's to-do list would be a waste of time. This time around, that page will not be updated until all current photos are uploaded. I have the date set for November but that is when my treatments are expected to stop and there is a high chance the date can change. I'm sorry but having cancer really threw a monkey wrench into what I had planned for this site this year.

So, what's going to happen for now? I will be uploading photos that I took in February but anything beyond that is postponed until November, which is subject to change. I also plan on getting new item info in and fixing up the site a little bit like fixing typos and updating information that is outdated in the Contact and Links page.

There is a lot to look forward to. I have a bunch of new toys to add to the site and they... oh gosh, I cannot wait to show them off. There are also two new character collections that will be added to the site. I am officially collecting Muttley merchandise and I will also be collecting items of Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service. I also have a lot of Houndour merchandise to add that may finally make me move it from side collection to making a Generation II page. Of course you have the usual collection pages to be updated with new merchandise.

But that's all I have for today. Updates will not be as frequent like they used to be until I am off treatments. When that is, I don't know. Again, I am looking towards the end of the year. Please bear with me.

Have a wonderful one, cats.

- Picture day has come and gone. So, where are the pictures? They have all been taken but I have hit a snag. My mouse, which I have mentioned before is in poor condition, is creating problems in editing the images. It's come to a point where simply writing an entry to this site has become difficult and I have to use mobile just to participate in forums. I could use the tablet to edit the images, which I probably will, but that still doesn't alleviate the issue of posting stuff on this site without any problem.

So, before I post those images, I am going to buy a bluetooth mouse along with a device for high memory storage since the computer I am using is in dire need of it. My computer is on the older side but it still works like a charm and I'll only replace it when it is near death. Unfortunately, my mouse is at that point and it needs to be replaced.

- Oh my gosh! Brand spanking new Pokémon games on the horizon for the Nintendo Switch! I would get upset over a new generation to take over a previous one that only had three years to thrive, but since it's happened twice already, I'm at a point where it's just moot to complain about that anymore. Now I just consider it bittersweet. I'm happy Generation VIII is on it's way, but I loved Generation VII and it's now time to say aloha to the Alola region.

The new region is going to be based on the United Kingdom (shout out to those who made the good call on predicting this will be the next regional inspiration). Sword and Shield are amazing names, just don't get your hopes up and predict a Pokémon Armor game to come out. There was no Gray for Black and White, there was no Z for X and Y, and there was no Stars for Sun and Moon.

BUT! Enough about that. Let's talk about the starters. The one that I am happy to see is a fire bunny starter. A fire bunny! Being born in 1987, that's my sign and my element. I am hoping they make his final evolution something good. As long as he is not part Fighting, I'll probably be okay with him. I was never a fan of monkeys so the grass starter is already a big nope. The water starter looks cute but since there's a fire rabbit, I am already biased on wanting to start with it.

If I end up choosing the rabbit, I kind of want to give it the usual bunny nickname of Bugs, Roger, or Peppy, because I am unoriginal like that. Will I be collecting any merch of this little guy once the Pokémon Centers start releasing merch for Gen VIII? We'll see.

That's all I have for now, cats. Those pictures will be coming in but I will be adding info and titles as soon as they are uploaded unlike I did previously with uploading them and adding info and titles later. I have a lot of work to do on this site, but hey, offline stuff and technical stuff happens, you know.

Ciao for now.

- March is coming up and it is going to be a month of great gets. First off, Funko will be releasing a set of all three hyenas from The Lion King. Sounds awesome, right? Well, they're Emerald City Comic Con exclusives. Unless you live in the Seattle area, you won't be getting these figures at shelf price. The only way to get them is through pre-ordering them on eBay from those who will be attending the event. A lot of people give Funko shit for good reason and this is but one of their many flaws. I hate it when they do exclusives like this. It's one thing to have store exclusives, which I still hate but it's just because I have to make another 20 minute drive and get what I want at shelf price. Con exclusives are just salt in the wound. I've never seen a convention in Texas that had con exclusives. If they have, they are not of stuff I collect. Most con exclusives are in the west coast, and Seattle was not a far drive from Reno, NV when I lived there. I don't live in Reno now so that's a moot point.

But I still plan on getting the set. It will be ordered March 1.

- Another get on March 1 is a game I have been wanting to get to complete that collection- Rockman World 2. This game is just awful. I can go on all day on how bad this game is. It isn't the worst game the franchise has ever released, but it's up there. I'll explain more about it when I get the game in the mail, which won't be here until mid to late March. Why did I decide to get it? I'm thinking of collecting the World games before I move onto something else. I also mentioned there are two other games I wanted to get before the next no-spend month comes along in June. They will not be any of the Game Boy titles, but they're something just as good. One of them is Pokémon-related. It's not a core game, but it's something that should have been added to the collection long ago. I should also mention it's not that great of a game, but I still can't wait to get it.

Now for updating this site until next picture day, which is this Saturday. Yes, picture day is still on for this Saturday. Stay tuned, cats.

- No major updates for today. When March comes, there are three games I have been dying to add to my collection. I'll be buying one game a month until the month of June since that is June Ain't Got No Money month. In other words, a no-spend month. Lots of exciting stuff ahead!

- I also wanted to wish everyone here a happy Valentine's Day. Fun fact: St. Valentine (or San Valentino as he is known in his native Italy) is the patron saint of love and happy marriages. He is also the patron saint of the protecting those against the plague and epilepsy. Today is his day among the calendar of saints. Normally it's a date that coincides with a saint's death, unless their date of death is unkown and they make a day up, like St. Cecilia- the patron saint of music. You have a saint for almost everything, and growing up amongst Catholics all my life, there seems to be a patron saint to celebrate every single day. For your everyday American, this is a day that is either loved or despised. To me, it's just another Thursday, but it's fun to look at the background of a day that is celebrated.

Wait until I get to St. Patrick and what he is the patron saint of. I'm not Irish nor do I have any Irish in me and I don't use the day as an excuse to drink because I don't drink, but again, looking at this stuff can be fun. I wonder who the patron saint of idiots is? I have a guess, but darn the low hanging fruit.

So... who's the patron saint of cats? That would be St. Gertrude of Nivelles (there are a bunch of St. Gertrudes that need to be differentiated by what church they came from). Her feast lands on March 17th, which also happens to be St. Patrick's Day. Big Cat Collections should celebrate St. Gertrude instead of St. Patrick because, c'mon! Cats! You have patron saints of specific collectors such as stamps and coins, but no toy collectors.

So cats, just do you. You'll be happier in the end. Night for now.

- Good evening, cats! Or good morning or night or day if you are in another part of the world for my international friends!

Some lovely get news. My good friend, Syminka, has sent me some gifts to help raise my spirits during this time. She has sent me a plush of the Light Fury and a HTTYD egg with a hidden plush in it (I got Toothless). I cannot express how touched I am by this, especially the card she has sent. It put tears into my eyes. These are wonderful gifts and they will be cherished forever. This is going to sound corny but I'll always associate the Light Fury and Toothless with this gesture. A big, BIG thank you to you, Syminka. You are an excellent friend and I do not deserve a friend like you.

- Picture day is still on as far as I know. I am not in any pain nor am I disabled so I am looking forward to that. I have been putting off updating this site since last picture day because I have other things to worry about, but it will get done. I've been updating a little on the side but overall, I am not online as much as I used to be. That'll hopefully change. Hopefully. I am a busy feline, you know.

That's all for now. Be happy. Be safe. Keep cool, cats.

- I have some bad news on my end, but I'll get to that once site and gets stuff are out of the way.

First, some good stuff. A wonderful viewer of my site has sold me a big want for my collection- the clear Charizard TFG figure. It has been a big want of mine and what he as sold me has arrived in wonderful condition. I cannot wait to show this bad boy off. He is gorgeous. A huge thank you to Jay from Australia. You will be credited when an image of the item is uploaded to the site.

- Second on the list is Funko pulling a massive dick move in regards to the How to Train Your Dragon merchandise. Thanks to a tip given to me by syminka, they have released a massive spoiler in one of their merchandise pics. I have not seen the pic, but stay away from Funko news until the movie is released in the US. This is not so much a surprise to many other places in the world since they got to see the movie first, but we in the states will not be seeing it until the 22nd. I am counting down the days to see this movie and I am not going to let some company run by absolute morons ruin this movie for me. Bad enough they ruined the movie for others.

- Now, for the bad news. I have already mentioned this on Bulbagarden but the personal experience forums are private for a good reason. I feel now is the time to mention why I have not been updating as frequently and it could help explain my bout of health problems for the past year. On January 7, I was officially diagnosed with colon cancer. I am in the dark at what stage I am at, but the doctors are looking at the usual chemo treatments to shrink the tumor I had. That is why I was hospitalized in October, but I had a misdiagnosis at the time and I guess they thought my low blood count had more to do with anemia and blood loss than a problem with cancer. After all, I am only 31 years old. This isn't something commonly found in people my age. I have had symptoms since April of last year, but it was only discovered because of a doctor's referral.

Am I afraid? I would be lying if I said I wasn't. I am not letting this damned disease take over my life and picture day is still on for the 23rd. February is also a no-spend month so I can focus more on maintaining this site and finishing what needs to be done since last picture day.

For now I am doing good. A little tired, but good. I intend on beating this thing. I am also very, VERY lucky to have insurance that will make everything manageable. If I didn't have that, I would be much more petrified. So no GoFundMe pages or donations are needed. If you want to make a donation, donate to the American Cancer Society. There are plenty of people who are suffering from cancer that can use your help.

So that's what's been eating up my time during the month of January. I wish the news could have been better, but I am not going to let this get me down. I will fight it with everything I have. For now, I am going to post images and updates as usual. To those on Bulbagarden, thank you all for the wonderful words and support. You guys are awesome! Here's to an optimistic 2019.

Be cool, cats. Catch you next update.

- Okay, me being AWOL is excusable this time. I'll get to that in a bit. First of all, gets.

Lots of gets to add to the site. A few have not been documented but they are in storage waiting to have their pictures taken this February. The item I was most excited to get was the Light Fury Build-A-Bear plush. That is one gorgeous dragon and I look forward to adding more of her items to my collection.

- Site stuff has been put on the backburner, but I hope to get them done before the next picture day. I apologize for once again postponing, but I do have my reasons. I'll leave it at that.

Keep cool, cats. Catch you next time.

- I am now just starting to add info to pictures that still need them. I know this is months late, but it does need to get done and putting it off for as long as I have is inexcusable. I'll update when I am finished.

6:09 PM CDT

- The first post of 2019! Happy belated new year to all you wonderful folks.

No new gets into the new year, but a few site news. First, of course, is 2018's Snow Files (formerly known as "Updates and News") being archived. You can find it and all other entries from previous years below, as usual. Now to start off fresh!

Second will be what will be new for the year in regards to this site. I have mentioned it in 2018 but to recap, there will be three months out of the year where no purchases will be made. Those months are February, June, and November. Picture day will take place these three times out of the year. I have already decided that the last Saturday of the month will be the day I take pictures. So for this year, they are February 23rd, June 29th, and November 30th.

On the subject of picture day, I have been putting off new info to the last picture day update. I know I need to get this done. I don't know when but I hope it's before the next picture date. I am tempted to get rid of all info with the exception of titles but that wouldn't make this site nearly as much fun to read. I won't do that, it just something that's crossed my mind.

The FAQ also needs to be updated, but that's all for now. I am optimistic about 2019 being a good year and I will catch you cats again soon.
