GENERATION V POKéMON COLLECTION

Yes, I admit it. Generation V is my favorite generation to date. Well, I loved Black and White. Their sequels... not so much.

I am not ashamed of that fact. The truth is, I loved these games for what they did. Unlike Generation III where there was no knowledge if the series was being rebooted or not, we knew by this time that they were not going to reboot the series because the games were obviously backwards compatible with the Generation IV games. Yes, they forced us to use the newer Pokémon of the generation, but you know what? I'd rather play with newer Pokémon in a NEW Pokémon game than play with something I am already familiar with. That is what the post game is for. Generation VI kind of screws with this but that's a story for another page.

The designs of these guys are not too shabby, either! They don't feel like they are out to steal the thunder of previously released
Pokémon. They really made the games what they were. They define the Unova region and what made it a great and fun region to play through, and that is what I liked. Yes, these games were not innovative in the slightest, but hey, they're fun.

Who are the main Pokémon I collect from my all-time favorite generation in this franchise? Take a look!

#498 Tepig, # 499 Pignite, and # 500 Emboar

Picture
Japanese names: ポカブ (Pokabu), チャオブー (Chaoboo), エンブオー (Enbuoh)
When I decided to collect the fire pigs, I always had a voice in the back of my head telling me "What the hell have you gotten yourself into, you idiot?!" It's kind of true. I mean, they're starters! Especially in Tepig's case and the promotion of the Generation V games, there was going to be a lot of stuff coming out and it was going to be overwhelming! I tried to convince myself that I didn't like them enough to collect them. That didn't quite go as planned. I love these guys so much that I caved and eventually started collecting them furiously. What can I say? They're adorable!

It actually did get a little overwhelming, especially since they started promoting Charizard items again! This has taught me a couple of valuable lessons as a collector of Pokémon merchandise:
1.) Don't collect an entire line of starters in the future, and...
2.) ...if I do collect an entire line of starters, I shouldn't expect to finish it right away. I should also make sure I have a secure high-paying job to pull it off.

I am not expecting to finish my fire porcine collection anytime soon, but oh well. I like them too much to do a weeding sale or have them as a side collection.

Plush

Picture
Tepig Pokédoll

This was a gift from minhimalism during Pkmncollector's secret valentine exchange in 2012. Thank you, love! You don't know how much you have made this lioness happy!

Picture
Tepig American Pokémon Center Plush

I stupidly, STUPIDLY ripped off the tag when I was trying to remove it from the card protector that was used to protect it during its mail transit! Ever since then I use scissors to cut the tape and remove the tag slowly. I still have the tag and it is stored away for safe keeping.

I would love to have the Japanese plush! While the two plush are identical, the Japanese tag looks so much cuter!

Picture
Tepig Sleeping New Year Plush

Probably my favorite Tepig plush! I managed to get this adorable little thing when she was fresh out of the Pokémon Centers in early 2012! Nowadays you have to pay twice as much just to get one, and they're big so shipping will cost a hefty price, as well. She is the mama pig to all my little piglets! I have them all on top of her to make them look like her litter of baby pigs!

Picture
Tepig Canvas Plush

This has to be my second favorite plush! He just looks so cute! He kept face planting when I tried to have him on his four legs so I set him up on his hind legs to take the photo. He looks so cute in that position!

Picture
Tepig American Tomy Plush

I am so glad this got an American release! I like the happy expressions of the Japanese plush much more than the angry looking ones made by Jakks.

I am not in a hurry to get the Japanese plush, but I still plan on getting it in the future. The shiny plush is a huge want!

Picture
Tepig American Tomy Keychain Plush

A cute little keychain for good measure! This was never released in my Toys R Us. My friend and partner-in-crime, syminka, went to the New York Toys R Us and picked this little guy up for me. What a pal!

Picture
Tepig Ty Beanie Baby

This was part of a series of Ty beanie baby plush that were only released in the UK. They are incredibly well made and so soft!

Picture
Tepig My Pokémon Collection Plush

Every single Generation V Pokémon had MPC plushes made of them! They are really small, but well-made keychain plushes that could only be obtained through UFO machines and I really hope they do this for all the Pokémon from previous generations!

Picture
Tepig DX Big-Headed Plush

This big dope! He is always, without fail, face planting! He was propped up for this picture and right now he is back in his display area. Guess what he is doing now? Yup.

Picture
Tepig Jakks Plush

One of the things I was never too keen on was that in order to appeal to the American market of kids (mainly boys, for some weird reason), they would make certain Pokémon more aggressive-looking, and I didn't like that. I love Tepig with the more docile look.

Here is an angry-looking Tepig for us Americans with obvious aggression issues.

Picture
Tepig Jakks Reversible Poké Ball Plush

This Tepig looks like he has evil thoughts going through his mind. Really Jakks? What's the big deal about making Tepig so... mean-looking?

Anyways, you can turn him inside-out to make him into a
Poké Ball.

Picture
Tepig Jakks Keychain Plush

That's much better! One of Jakks's cuter Tepigs! I did get two of them! One to display and one to use.

Picture
Tepig Jakks Throw Plush

I wouldn't throw this little guy! Another smiling, docile-looking Jakks plush!

Picture
Pignite American Pokémon Center Plush

I wish this big guy wasn't so expensive, otherwise I would get another one just to cuddle!

I hope to get the Japanese plush one day!

Picture
Pignite My Pokémon Collection Plush

This really is a lovely plush! He is so soft! I love, love, LOVE him!

Picture
Pignite Jakks Plush

This is a nice and cute plush! The material is very soft and he is not derpy in any way! My only criticism of it is that I wish the brown parts of his body were darker. He would have been perfect if they did that!

Picture
Emboar DX Pokédoll

I love how they made this big brute look so cute! He is much larger than the average Pokédoll, but not by much.

Picture
Emboar Pokémon Center Plush

I won this guy from a group auction on Pkmncollectors. The unfortunate thing was that when the host of the group auction received the plush, they reeked of paint thinners! She managed to get most of the smell off him but he still had a little bit of the smell when I got him in the mail. It's been months and he no longer smells like nail-polish remover so I am happy about that! That smell gives me a terrible headache.

Picture
Emboar My Pokémon Collection Plush

For a small plush, the details are amazing!

Picture
Emboar DX UFO Plush

This guy is BIG! He is about as big as the Pokémon Center plush, and that's pretty big! I was actually expecting him to be a little smaller, and it's rare when I expect something to be smaller come out bigger! Bigger isn't always better, and he is so big I have him riding my DX big-headed Tepig who loves to face plant. What a site!

Picture
Emboar UFO Plush

He looks so angry but instead of intimidating me, he just makes me want to hug him!

Figures

Picture
Tepig-line Zukan Figures

I'm sorry, but I don't have a lot of nice things to say about this Zukan.

I really hate how they made this line. In particular, those stupid supporters used to keep Emboar on his feet. It was a pain to set up! Whatever happend to using pegs, Tomy? The paint job isn't the worst but it isn't the best, either. I should be thankful this line even got a Zukan as a lot of the Pokémon in Generation V got gypped out of one, but if they aren't going to even try and make something of good quality, why make it in the first place?

I'm sorry for sounding so negative, it's just that I am really disappointed with this one.

Picture
Tepig-line American Tomy Figures

I really wish Tomy had gotten the license to release their products in the US a long time ago. It would have saved me a lot of money. The figures here and the Japanese figures are the same thing. The only difference is that the Japanese figures come with a base, but I really don't care for the bases. They are big, ugly, and take up a lot of room so I don't even like to deal with them.

**As of 2014, never mind what I said about me saving money with Tomy distributing their toys in the US. They are pretty horrible when it comes to distribution and prices.

Picture
Tepig-line Plamo Figures

I apologize in advance, but I am going to complain again.

I HATE Plamo figures! They wouldn't be so bad if they didn't need to use those crappy stickers, but no, the stickers they make you use are terrible! They lose their adhesiveness very quickly and they are constantly peeling off! It's a real pain but the figures need the stickers otherwise they would look awful without them.
Plamo figures would probably be a joy to own if you know how to paint the details into the models instead of relying on those damn stickers, but since I am not very good with a paint brush to begin with, I think I would ruin them even more than using the stickers. I should have never assembled them and just left them MIB.

Now for the information on these models, because why not? The word Plamo is a combination of the words (Pla)y or (Pla)stic (Mo)del. All Pokémon Plamo figure lines come with a Pikachu model because the little ham just has to insert himself into everything. In all seriousness, I think Pikachu is there as a tutorial figure and allows beginners to set him up before they get to the main line on the package. He was the easiest to assemble and in a horrible display of irony, his stickers are the least crappy and don't fall off as easily. Then again, they aren't as big as you see on Emboar, so maybe that's a moot point.

Picture
Tepig Kid

A regular Tepig Kid looking cute.

Picture
Tepig Regular and Shiny Kids

Now for something great! I thought I would never get the shiny kid, especially for a good price! I would always miss out on the auctions that they were sold in but I bought one that was directly for sale at an excellent price and here he is! In all his yellow, bright, shiny glory!

Picture
Tepig Attack Kid

The attacking Tepigs can get away with the angry look. They're attacking! Bandai also balances attack kids out with regular, happy-looking kids, something Jakks didn't do with their plush.

Picture
Tepig Jakks Figure

I've had this for the longest time mint in package. I didn't want to have to deal with the leftover figures in this set.

Why can't US toy distributors take a lesson from Japan and just sell these toys with one character apiece? No extra Pokémon that are unrelated to each other; just one Pokémon per package. This little guy came with Pidove, and I already have two of those damn birds because it also came with another Jakks package I wanted!

I have him propped up on his hind legs because he keeps faceplanting. Why do Tepigs love to faceplant?

Picture
Tepig Waza Museum Figure

The Waza museum figures are gorgeous! The details are to die for! It's such a shame they are no longer going to continue the series! What a blow to those of us who love detailed figures.

Picture
Tepig Vs. Pikachu Attack Motion Diorama Figure

This is actually a very good diorama and the two combatants look like they really want to go at it, unlike the Charizard vs. Blastoise diorama where those two look like they are making idle chit-chat.

Picture
Tepig Black and White Banpresto Keychain

I had to prop this little guy up for the picture. The way the chain is wrapped around the tag makes him difficult to balance.

Picture
Tepig Bandai Regular Strap Figure

These were obtained through gashapon machines.

Picture
Tepig Bandai Clear Strap Figure

The clear version.

Picture
Tepig Metal Figure

I really love the sitting pose!

Picture
Tepig Black and White Trading Card Game Tin Figure

Made by the incredible Kaiyodo!

Picture
Tepig McDonald's Figure

Here we go again with the angry face. I think the only times I have seen an angry Tepig in Japanese media was when he was featured in the boy's TCG Black and White set, the anime, and when he is actually using attacks in figures. I prefer my little porker not so angry, thank you.

Picture
Blue Tepig Eraser

A fine eraser with some amazing details sketched into it. It shall never be used!

Picture
Pignite Kid

I love the quality of this little guy!

Picture
Pignite Tomy Figure

Even though I have two of them, I still love them! This figure is from the original Japanese package, base and all. I don't care for the bases so I didn't include it in the picture.

Picture
Pignite Clipping Figure

It was a little hard to get him balanced on his base, but nothing too difficult. What a terrific pose!

Picture
Pignite Bronze and Silver Metal Figures

I believe these came in the same set as the Tepig sitting metal figure.

A question... are these figures magnetic? Whenever I place them near anything made out of metal, they are always pulled towards them by this magnetic force.

Picture
Pignite Jakks Figure with Fire Launching Stand

I was not thrilled to find out about Jakks rereleasing the same figure just so they could add a new gimmick, which is the stand you see in the picture. Pignite got a fiery stand, and I know a couple of other Pokémon got a different variation of their own stand. Despite that, they all have the same function, which is to shoot little discs from the bottom. They can actually shoot the discs far and fast! That's still no excuse to release the same figure. They could have at least done something different.

I know what you all are thinking: Tomy is doing the same thing, too. That's true. Yes, you are right, and I have to agree with the general consensus- they are not only doing the same thing but they are also doing it more shamelessly! I was at Toys R Us recently and they are releasing the same figures over and over just to pair them with garbage gimmicks. My advice: if you just want the figures, go to eBay or Amazon and try to find them being sold individually. Also, try to not overpay for your figures. This is the better route if you do not want to pay a lot of money for figures that come with lousy gimmicks.

Picture
Pignite McDonald's Figure

I have to give McDonald's a lot of credit here! They did a great job with these set of figures!

This was given to me by the magnificant clair2522! Many thanks to ye, my friend!

Picture
Emboar Kid

Look at that! He's ready for action!

Picture
Emboar Clipping Figure

I have him propped up, but he is supposed to be charging foward.

Picture
Emboar Pose Figure

These figures are enormous! Well, not really. I may be exaggerating a little but this figure was a lot bigger than I expected it to be!

Picture
Emboar Pepsi Strap Figure

I know denkimouse of Pkmncollectors had to buy a ton of Pepsi drinks to pick these up for the community.

Picture
Emboar Black and White Trading Card Game Tin Figure

I really hope Kaiyodo does more Pokémon stuff in the future! Who can say this is a bad figure?

Picture
Emboar Super Get Regular Figure

These remind me a lot of the Stadium figures, but that's because of the base. The figures themselves are of much better quality!

StationEry and Flats

Picture
Tepig-line Pokémon Center Generation V Fire-type Stickers

This was released when Generation V was in its prime! The blanked out Pokémon are the fully-evolved forms.

These are very unique stickers worthy of being displayed!

Picture
Tepig and Friends Pokémon Center New Year Postcard 2011

This was released in late 2010 for the 2011 New Year. While they normally have the new year animals in some form on at least one of these cards, 2011 lacked rabbits (it was the year of the rabbit). I guess they wanted to show off what was in Generation V only, but when Gen VI rolled around, that didn't stop them from adding a horse from a previous generation (Ponyta) to their postcards. I don't get you, Pokémon Center. You never make any sense to me sometimes.

Picture
Pignite and Friends Pokémon Center New Year Postcard 2013

This is a replacement to a single postcard I idiotically ruined. I was very lucky to find a replacement packet since these things are a humdinger to find once they are no longer being sold at Pokémon Centers.

New new year postcards I buy that are MIP are going to be kept MIP. I'm done with this malarkey of ruining good postcards due to crappy tape. I want to display these things, gosh dang it! It shouldn't be hindered by garbage like that!

Anyways, what I love the most about these postcards is the artwork! I just love it! It's so unique and pretty.

Picture
Tepig and Friends Pokémon Center New Year Clearfile (Front)

I didn't know that these clearfiles were released in a set. I thought they were sold separately and that I was buying a lot.

I was going to sell the Kyurem forms clearfile when I got this from Y!J, but since they are part of the set that are inside a plastic wrapper, that won't be happening. I want to keep it mint the way it is! This is the front.

Picture
Tepig Foam Block

A foamy, soft block with a picture of my favorite first stage starter!

I say this is a stationery item because it acts like a paperweight.

Picture
Tepig Retsuden Stamp

Gotten before it was gone forever.

Picture
Pignite and Friends Pokémon Center New Year Clearfile (Inside)

Opening the set reveals the two other clearfiles. The designs were also used for New Year postcards!

Picture
Pignite Ensky Magnet Sheet

These really cute but very rare magnets were made by Ensky.

Picture
Pignite Retsuden Stamp

Another Ensky release. I don't complain about Black and White Retsuden stamps as much because they are recent items, but I bet in a few years they will never be seen again, just like the Advanced Generation Retsuden stamps.

Picture
Emboar Pokédoll Stickers

For stickers, they are pretty expensive! I was lucky to get this for a good price.

Regardless on how you feel about Emboar, you have to admit the Pokémon Center made him into one adorable hog with his Pokédoll art!

Picture
Emboar Retsuden Stamp

The last of the fire pig Retsuden stamps, natch!

Picture
Emboar Circular Stamp

These small, elongated stamps were included in a whole set of stamps that featured the pictures of various different Pokémon. The larger stamps usually had two or more Pokémon on them, while small ones like this had only one.

Other Items

Picture
Tepig-line Pokémon Center 5th Generation Fire-type Bandana

This beautiful bandana is one of my favorite items in my collection! I love how vibrant and lively it is!

Picture
Tepig-line National Dex Charms

My favorite porcines in charm form!

Picture
Tepig-line Metal Plate Mascot Strap

A strap featuring the ever-so dapper but incredibly modest fire pigs!

Picture
Tepig AEON Can Badge

I am amazed at how rare these badges have gotten in such a short period of time! Only Generation V Pokémon got an AEON can badge with the exceptions of the Kami-trio beast forms and Genosect.

Picture
Tepig Pokémon Center Christmas Charm

Unfortunately, I was not collecting Tepig when this promotion came out. I was really late to collecting the fire pigs, so I missed out on a lot of the earlier items. I am glad to have this little guy! I hope to get his plush, too!

Picture
Tepig Menu Sprite Tin Can

Probably one of the few game sprite items that I was actually really happy to buy! I've made my peace about that in Charizard's page.

Picture
Tepig Black and White Trading Card Game Tin

I don't play the TCG and I don't think I ever will, but I do love collecting the tins! They make for excellent decoration and storage! And hey! They come with a nifty little Kaiyodo figure! That's really cool!

Picture
Tepig Battrio Coins

5/9 coins, and they all have different poses!

Picture
Tepig and Friends Movie Bag

This highly adorable bag was given to me by the sweet-as-honey clair2522! It features every single first-stage starter as well as other popular Pokémon!

Picture
Pignite AEON Can Badge

Another of the rare AEON can badges.

Picture
Pignite Metal Keychain

When I first saw this item in an advertisment, I thought it was going to be the size of my palm. Not too big, but not tiny, either. I was wrong. This thing is very small! It is smaller than the palm of my hand and I had to get up really close to take its picture.

Now, keep in mind that smaller does not make it worse. These keychains are well-made and will not take up a lot of room should you decide to display them. I say they are still worth the get, just don't be too disappointed if you find them too small for your liking.

Picture
Emboar AEON Can Badge

The last of the fire pig AEON can badges.

Picture
Emboar Button/Can Badge

I don't know. Before I joined Pkmncollectors, I always called these types of items buttons or pins. I never used the term "can badge" until I joined Pkmncollectors. I guess it's a "tomato/to-mah-to" kind of thing. Whatever you want to call it, that's what this item in the picture is.

Picture
Emboar Black and White Trading Card Game Tin

That image on the tin is one of my favorites! I wonder who the artist for this amazing image is?

Picture
Emboar Battrio Coins

2/6 coins. At least they all have different poses! That does not include the Tretta pucks.

Pokémon Center and The Pokémon Company International Promotions

Picture
Pignite Pokémon Worlds 2011 Plastic Tote Bag

I sometimes participate in competitive video game tournaments, but mostly for the sake of having fun rather than to actually compete. I win, I win. I lose, I lose. Overall, I have fun! Still, who would have known Pokémon would be such a thing that a world championship with big-time prizes would take shape?

I also go for the merchandise that they sell at these venues
. I would love to go to a Worlds tournament not so much to compete (though it would be a dream come true if that happened! *dreamysigh), but for the items they have to offer! Every year features a different design, usually based off the location where the tournaments are taking place. The year 2011 had the championships take place in San Diego and featured my favorite middle-stage starter, so I had to buy the items, of course!

Picture
Pignite Pokémon Worlds 2011 Card Binder

This is a huge binder! It's a standard three-ring binder designed to do pretty much what a binder is meant to do and it's not just to hold cards. This thing can also be used to hold your school work! You'd be the coolest kid in school with this thing.

Alas, I am no longer in school (I graduated in 2005), so the only thing left for me to do is display it. Oh well.

Picture
Pignite Pokémon Worlds 2011 Handkerchief

This handkerchief also displays the weaknesses and resistances of Pokémon types on the back.

As of
Pokémon X and Y, the type chart on this handkerchief has been rendered obsolete thanks to the invention of the Fairy-type.

Picture
Pignite Pokémon Worlds 2011 Battle Dictionary

Because there were people from Japan, Korea, and Europe coming to compete, this booklet was available to help people from different countries communicate. It even informs you of the Pokémon names in different languages!

I really wouldn't call it a dictionary. It acts more like a translator.

Picture
Tepig Pokémon With You Clearfile

The Pokémon With You promotion was a charity where the proceeds went to the victims of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The design of the promotion explains its purpose: to bring happiness!

These items were limited, so getting them can be difficult.

Picture
Tepig Pokémon With You Handkerchief

A handkerchief with the gorgeous artwork!

Picture
Tepig Pokémon With You Postcard

A very nice postcard.

Picture
Tepig Pokémon With You Memo Pads

It will not be used! It will not be used!!

Picture
Tepig Pokémon With You Stickers

Lovely stickers!

#503 Samurott

Picture
Japanese name: ダイケンキ (Daikenki)
Otters are my second favorite animal, so when an entire line of otters were revealed for Generation V, I was as excited as excited can get! I like Oshawott and Dewott but I really don't want to collect them because that would be WAY too much for me to handle. Collecting the Tepig-line is enough for me. I like Samurott the best, and I was especially happy when I managed to get a female in my White 2 version, so once again, I caved and had to collect.

Samurott's collection of items is something I hope to finish soon! Unlike the final forms, The first forms are the ones who are merchandised to death, which is why the Tepig-line is taking forever to complete. There are a few more Samurott things I need, but they are not the most expensive around, so that's good!

Plush

Picture
Samurott Nintendo World Pokédoll

My friend, syminka, got this for me while she was in New York! He is super soft and his face is adorable! I hope to get the Japanese plush in the future, but I am in no rush to get it.

He is a DX Pokédoll, meaning he is slightly larger than a regular Pokédoll.

Picture
Samurott Pokémon Center Plush

I got very lucky with this one! He was up for auction on Pkmncollectors and I won him for a good price with no competition! He is also mint with tag! I'm very happy to own him! I love his serious face!

Picture
Samurott My Pokémon Collection Plush

The obligatory MPC had to appear, of course! Like the others before and after him, he is very soft and well-made!

Picture
Samurott UFO Plush

Compared to the Emboar plush, he is a lot smaller, even though they are from the same set!

Picture
Samurott DX UFO Plush

Now this guy! He is big! He is a little shorter than the Pokémon Center plush, but not by much. His face is also very nicely detailed.

Figures

Picture
Samurott-line Zukan

I believe the Samurott-line were released after the Tepig-line. Tomy improved tenfold with this set! The paint job isn't bad and they don't require the use of those awful balances like Emboar did. So I have to give you some credit there, Tomy. You did well with this one.

Picture
Samurott Tomy Figure

As with all of their standard figures, Tomy made a great Samurott!

Picture
Samurott Attack Motion Diorama Figure

This figure rocks! The pose! The details! I love it!

Picture
Samurott Clipping Figure

Getting him to balance on his base is harder than it looks, but it's not too bad.

Picture
Samurott Trading Card Game Tin Figure

Okay, as much as I love Kaiyodo and their figures, this one is my least favorite of the bunch. Every detail on this figure is good with the exception of his face. They did a very lackluster job, especially on his eyes, and I feel like they could have done much better.

Picture
Samurott Pepsi Figure

Another Pepsi figure from denkimouse's pickups.

Stationery and Flats

Picture
Samurott Retsuden Stamp

The ever-present Retsuden stamp.

Picture
Samurott Round Stamper

A small, elongated stamper that was included in a case with a bunch of other stamps, some large with multiple Pokémon but most of them were small with one Pokémon.

Picture
Samurott Pokédoll Stickers

Samurott does not have a whole lot of unique items in the stationery department, but I love the Pokédoll art for him! He looks so serious but cute at the same time! That's something really hard to pull off!

Other Items

Picture
Samurott Pokémon Center National Dex Charms

Had enough of the National Pokédex charms? Not me! I hope they do them for generations to come!

Picture
Samurott Pokémon Center Menu Sprite Charm

As mentioned with Charizard, the fortunate thing about the menu sprite items is that they tend to be inexpensive, at least by Pokémon Center standards.

Picture
Samurott AEON Badge

An AEON badge of my favorite otter Pokémon.

Picture
Samurott Trading Card Game Tin

Here he is with his own TCG tin! That is some superb artwork!

Picture
Samurott Battrio Coin

1/6 coins. I have a long way to go to finishing this collection within a collection. I like that they all feature different poses.

#506 Lillipup, #507 Herdier, and #508 Stoutland

Picture
Japanese names: ヨーテリー (Yorterrie), ハーデリア (Herderrie), ムーランド (Mooland)
Terriers! I LOVE TERRIERS! Terrier Pokémon? Yes, please! Knowing The Pokémon Company's unfortunate habit of releasing little merchandise of cat and dog Pokémon, I thought I could manage collecting these pups. They proved me right. Lillipup got a decent amount of merch, Stoutland also has an adequate amount, but Herdier has very little. I am also not happy with the fact that they don't have Tomy figures or Zukans while Pokémon from past generations with at least one Zukan released got new poses, but what can you do? I am just happy they got anything, especially plushes!

Plush

Picture
Lillipup Pokémon Center Plush

Pokémon Center, you should release more canine and feline Pokémon plush! You would make a bundle if you did!

Look at her fuzzy face!

Picture
Lillipup Tomy Plush

I didn't expect this little one to be so big! Tomy is not my favorite plush maker but they did an excellent job here! She is made of the soft polyester material known as minky, which is unusual for earlier-released Tomy plushes. Not that I'm complaining!

Picture
Lillipup UFO Christmas Plush

Here is Lillipup ready for Christmas! She looks very festive!

Picture
Lillipup Jakks Plush

I am so proud of you, Jakks! You made a really good Lillipup plush! And you didn't have to make her angry, either!

Picture
Lillipup Banpresto Mascot Plush

She is TINY! That is what was to be expected with Mascot plushes. Her ears flopping down like that makes her look cuter!

Picture
Lillipup My Pokémon Collection Plush

The much eariler sets of MPC had a green tag like the one you see in the picture. The more recent ones are white with a colored border.

Picture
Herdier My Pokémon Collection Plush

Herdier's only plush! Even though this is her only plush, the details are stunning! I especially love the nice touch they did by giving her paw pads!

Picture
Officer Jenny's Herdier Banpresto Plush

This was beyond unexpected! As much as I love Herdier, for the life of me, I thought they would forget she exists as soon as they moved on to Generation VI. With the Officer Jenny promotion, she made a return in plush form! This was fantastic news as it meant another terrier to add to my collection.

Lovely plush! While her pose is nothing spectacular and I wish they used a softer material, I am glad they decided to do something different for once instead of giving us the same ol' same ol'. Definitely a welcomed addition.

Picture
Stoutland UFO Movie Plush

This plush was also released when the 2011 Pokémon movie was released in Japanese theaters, but she isn't as rare as her MPC sister. That doesn't make her any less lovable!

Picture
Stoutland My Pokémon Collection Plush

Probably the most difficult terrier plush to find. This was from the Namco-exclusive C set. The lettered sets were typically released when a Pokémon movie was playing in theaters and could only be found in one type of game center, hence their rarity. I managed to get her in a Pkmncollectors group auction! She was so worth the buy!

Figures

Picture
Lillipup Kid

The terriers were lucky enough to get Kid figures, so I am happy about that! They are also not too shabby.

Picture
Lillipup Clear Movie Strap

The terriers saw their merch rise with the release of the 2011 movie!

Herdier Kid

I wish you had more merchandise, Herdier. At least your Kid figure is cute!

Picture
Stoutland Kid

They did a great job on the details! I think that is what I really love about Kid figures. They're finger puppets, yes, but they aren't your average finger puppets! They have so much more going for them and that is what I really like.

Picture
Stoutland Clipping Figure

My favorite clipping figure! That sleeping pose... if cuteness could kill, I would be six feet under by now!

Picture
Stoutland Chupa Figure

Chupa figures are figures that were only sold at Pokémon Centers, and they are very hard to find once they are not sold anymore. I was fortunate to snatch up this little Stoutland before she became too rare!

Stationery

Picture
Lillipup Circular Pokémon Center Stamper

Another of the circular, elongated stampers! This time with that tiny, rascally pup!

Picture
Lillipup Retsuden Stamp

I got lucky with the Retsuden stamps this generation! All three terriers got their own stamp!

Picture
Herdier Retsuden Stamp

Herdier needs more items. I hate how the middle evolutions always get the shaft compared to the first and third forms.

Now it's time to feature Stoutland on these stamps!

And on this one, too!

Other Items

Picture
Terrier-line Pokémon Center National Dex Charms

Terrier charms! I need to get an extra set so I can actually use them!

Picture
Lillipup AEON Can Badge

Lillipup's AEON badge! She's looking mighty lovely!

Herdier AEON Can Badge

I'm sorry for not displaying Herdier right-side up, but it's very hard to get them in a perfect position.

Stoutland, as full of life as always!

#510 Liepard

Picture
Japanese name: レパルダス (Lepardas)
Being the crazy cat lady that I am, I knew I wanted to collect Liepard the moment I laid my eyes on her! She is another Pokémon I wanted to collect non-stop, but sadly, she hardly has anything. I don't know what is it about The Pokémon Company and fully-evolved cat Pokémon. I guess they are not as "cute" as their pre-evolved forms, which makes me sad. Don't think I don't like Meowth or Purrloin, because I really like those two, but I love their evolved forms for their detailed, realistic, quadrupedal shape!

I can't complain too much. At least Liepard got a plush. Oh, and fun fact: every single one of Liepard's items here are from Japan! True, there isn't a lot, but still, you'd think there would be one non-Japanese item here.

Plush

Picture
Liepard My Pokémon Collection Plush

Liepard's only official plush! She is from the Namco-exclusive D set of MPC plush, though the D set is not as rare as the A, B and C sets.

Figures

Picture
Liepard and Purrloin Zukan

I am not a fan of the white base that Purrloin is on because of how much it sticks out like a sore thumb against the purple base. While I wish they used a clear base or pegs, it's still not as bad as what they did with Emboar.

The paint job is good on Liepard, but bad on Purrloin. Probably because of how small she is.

Ahh! Quality! She is just lazing around like a typical cat.

Stationery

Liepard Pokémon Center Clearfile

The Pokémon Center was wonderful enough to release a Liepard and Purrloin clearfile!

Picture
Pokémon Center Dark-type Clearfile

A clearfile that has Liepard and the Houndour-line on the same page! Yes! This clearfile is all shades of awesome.

Picture
Liepard Retsuden Stamp

Kitty stamp! Such a pretty kitty cat!

Multiple Pokémon

Picture
Tepig-line and Samurott Pokémon Center Type Clearfile

All the starters I collect on the same cover? So awesome! You know me, The Pokémon Company!

Picture
Pokémon Conquest Clearfile

This has been a big want since it has gorgeous artwork of some of my favorite Gen V Pokémon. After knowing of its existence for seven years I finally obtained it in 2019. Yeah, it took that long for me to find it. I got it for a good price, too.

Tepig-line, Samurott, and Lillipup Generation V Tin

This tin is not only there to look cool! It is also there to store items! Sold to me by the fabulous syminka!
