Disney Collection

I am a huge fan of Disney movies and cartoons from the 80s and 90s! For now, I am going to stay focused on collecting what I really want, which is individual characters rather than collecting merchandise from an entire movie or show.

The Lion King

Picture
The Lion King is my all-time favorite Disney movie!

This is the one movie that I would beg my mom and dad to take me to see more than once (much to their annoyance). I knew every single line by heart and I would even sing along to the soundtrack. Unfortunately, as time went by, all the toys that I had were sold in garage sales, weeding sales, or given away as hand-me-downs to nieces and nephews. I am getting back into the swing of things and I hope to recover all the toys and figures that I once had, but in hindsight, I don't think it would have mattered if I kept those toys. I mean, I played with them to the point of wearing them out.

My favorite characters are the hyenas, but I love all the characters in this movie! I hope to get all the hyena items first before I go off into collecting some of the bigger and more popular characters such as Simba and Nala! This will be quite an undertaking, but an exciting one!

Picture
Simba Kohl's Plush

This was a complete surprise from syminka! She knew I was severely lacking Lion King merch and the lack of Simba on this site is pretty sad. She changed that, and I'm glad!

He's super soft and very well made! I really need to add more Simba stuff to this site, stat!

Picture
Shenzi Disney Store Plush

Here she is looking classy! She and the other two hyenas are made out of minky, a very soft polyester fabric commonly made for furry blankets.

Shenzi is my favorite of the three hyenas. I am so glad they decided to make her a female character! She was originally going to be a male character, as if we didn't already have enough of those. This movie is already a sausage fest save for Shenzi, Nala, and a few other lionesses who had little to do with the plot. So yes, I welcome female characters with open arms, especially female characters that are well written and actually do something worthwhile besides being the love interest of whoever or getting kidnapped.

I love how they made her look like an actual hyena yet still managed to get some of those nice feminine qualities onto her!

Picture
Banzai Disney Store Plush

This plush has him smiling devilishly! What a fiendish guy!

When I was little, I had a Lion King coloring book and that is how I learned a lot of the character's names. I don't know if it was the font or just the fact that I was a stupid kid, but I would always read Banzai's name as "Banzal", and I pronounced it that way for a long time until I rewatched the movie when it came out on VHS. I'll never forget that.

Picture
Ed Disney Store Plush

One of the few characters in the movie to not have an exotic name. Ed is one silly goose! The plush designer did a great job on him! I like how his tongue sticks out! What a dumb yet adorable dope!

Picture
The Lion King Tsum Tsums

The first Tsum Tsum batch where I wanted every single character released! Fellow collector syminka picked up all of them for me with the exception of Ed. Ed was the most popular of the bunch and sold out quickly at almost all Disney Stores in the US.

I was a bit disappointed that they didn't make Shenzi or Banzai, but I guess that would have been too redundant, and Ed is probably the most popular of the three hyenas, so I can see why they went with him.

All are major league adorable and must haves for Lion King collectors!

Picture
The Lion Guard Kion Disney Store Plush

The newest installment to The Lion King series. The Lion Guard is a surprisingly good show and lives up to any Lion King fan's expectations. It's marketed towards the younger crowd since it is shown during the Disney Junior block, but you know what? A lot of the cartoons on Disney Junior is a lot more creative and fun to watch than a lot of the live-action garbage they have playing for tweens. However, let's not get off topic.

The characters, just like in previous installments, have their unique charms! I plan on getting as much as I can for this series to further expand my Lion King collection.

This is Kion, Simba's son and Kiara's brother. You can see the family resemblance in this gorgeous plush.

Picture
The Lion Guard Kion Disney Collection Plush

This is a very well-made plush. Syminka was kind enough to do a pick up for me not at the Disney Store but at a JCPenny's. I thought it was another Disney Store plush until I noticed his mouth was closed. He's also slightly smaller than the Disney Store plush, but not by much. Very soft and very cute.

Picture
The Lion Guard Fuli Disney Store Plush

We get our first cheetah character in the Lion King series. Well, you also had those cheetah brothers from Timon and Pumbaa, and while they count as characters, they weren't main characters.

She is also the only female of the Lion Guard. At least it was a cool animal they had as the only female.

Picture
The Lion Guard Janja Disney Store Plush

As a hyena successor to the original three, I had to make a spot for Janja in my collection!

I should mention that I wasn't too happy with them going with a male hyena as the leader. They do have female hyenas in the show, but in real life, spotted hyenas are always led by a female, which is why I was happy they did their research for once and had Shenzi as the leader of the pack.

With that said, I can't dislike Janja, and in all fairness, it's not like egrets and lion cubs hang out as friends in real life, so reality be damned. I love this fellow. I love his design and his two henchhyenas also have great designs and personalities that allow them to be distinguished from the original three. I hope we see more merch not only with Janja, but with the other hyenas, as well.

Picture
The Lion Guard Kion Mini Figure 1

The following figures were birthday presents from the wonderful syminka! I am going to mention what she let me know about them.

These were figures that were obtained through plastic blind bags. However, unlike the usual blind bags, these were specifically made with children in mind. They also weren't double protected in boxes and a plastic sheet. which made finding the character you wanted so much easier.

This figure in particular has a special "clear" version that is not as common as the other figures that come in these bags. I would imagine finding that figure would be more difficult because even though you can feel for the figure you want, you still can't tell if it's the normal or clear variation.

Picture
The Lion Guard Kion Mini Figure 2

This figure is pretty big. He is much larger than Janja below. It looks awkward placing him right next to the villainous hyena.

Picture
The Lion Guard Fuli Mini Figure

Fuli is so detailed but they captured those details perfectly in these figures! I am actually surprised how well-made these figures are. They obviously put a lot of effort into them.

Picture
The Lion Guard Janja Mini Figure

Janja, you have a big head. You're also smaller than Kion!

Still a nice figure.

Picture
The Lion Guard Roaring Kion Mini Figure

A figure from the third series of blind bags. This one is pretty common. I pulled out three of them.

Picture
The Lion Guard Battle Fuli Mini Figure

She looks more playful than ready for battle. From Series 3.

Picture
The Lion Guard Copper Fuli Mini Figure

The rare colored variant of Series 3. I wanted Battle Janja more than this, but this is what I pulled out. Pretty nice.

Picture
The Lion Guard Bunga Mini Figure

Bunga is a really annoying character. I never thought there would be a character that would annoy me so much from the Lion King universe, but he made it happen.

Another common character from series 3, but him being common is unfortunate.

Picture
The Lion Guard Oho Mini Figure

I like how he is voiced by the youngest kid from The Middle. I immediately recognized his voice when I watched this show.

Lovely figure. He's common, but it's a well-made figure so I can easily forgive it.

Picture
The Lion Gaurd Dogo Mini Figure

As much as I really wanted Battle Janja, this figure made me squeal like a little girl when I pulled him from a blind bag. He's so cute and puppy-like! Really happy to have gotten this little guy.

Picture
The Lion Guard Reirei Mini FIgure

Dogo's mom. Another pull I was happy to get!

She and Dogo look more like German Shephards than jackals.

Picture
The Lion Guard Thurston Mini Figure

Very dignified-looking zebra.

Picture
The Lion Guard Ushari Mini Figure

He may look evil, but he's not. Bet you thought he was evil when you looked at him, huh? Don't worry, I did, too.

Picture
The Lion Guard Hyrax Mini Figure

Just a little hyrax figure. Cute little guy.

Picture
The Lion Guard Kion Disney Store Tumbler

A gorgeous and well-made tumbler that has liquid and glitter inside the double wall of the cup. It shall never be used. For shame. It's begging to be used! Can't though, since it's for the collection.

Picture
The Lion Guard Kion Pin

Syminka gave this to me in a box of goodies she was kind enough to go out of her way to buy me! Where did she get it? Only she knows! No matter where she bought it, it's a pin I display with pride! Get it? Pride? Okay, I'll see myself out...

The Fox and the Hound

Picture
My second favorite movie! Yes, I cried a lot during this movie. I still cry during some scenes, and it takes a lot to get me to cry! No one is immune to its effects! Unlike The Lion King, I don't love all the characters in this movie. I really dislike the hunter. You know, that sexist, fox-hating schmuck? He at least shows some redemption that makes me not totally hate him, though you will not get any spoilers from me! My favorite characters are the title animals, but between the two, I tend to get more Copper items. I have a thing for bloodhounds, one of my favorite dog breeds!

Picture
The Fox and the Hound Tsum Tsum plush

This plush was part of the Tsum Tsum of the month subscription. Not available in stores or any other retailer, you have to be signed up to get these special plushes. I myself am not signed up, but I snatched it immediately before the prices inflated to an unbelievable amount.

The cuteness is overloading with this one.

Picture
Copper Medium Size Disney Store Plush

My favorite Copper plush! His face and the material used to make him are perfect! I really, REALLY regret not being able to get Tod, but I only had enough for one plush.

Picture
Copper Disneyland Paris Plush

Syminka had actually found this and a Tod plush in a lot on eBay. I pitched in for Copper so she could have Tod. Win-win for the both of us!

These plush were made exclusively for the Disneyland park in Paris. This plush in particular is ridiculously soft! He's one of the best plush ever made. I love this little guy!

Picture
Copper Small Size Disney Store Plush

This little guy is so sweet! He is made of the same soft polyester material that I oh-so love!

Picture
Copper VHS Re-release Plush

I believe this little guy came with the VHS release in the 90s. My good friend, Syminka, got him in a lot she had bought on eBay and was very kind enough to sell him to me for a great price! He is missing his purple collar that had a red tag with his name on it. He also has a small stain on his right paw. Still, beggers cannot be choosers. I hope to get a mint one in the future so this little guy can be upgraded to my bedtime buddy.

Picture
Tod Small Size Disney Store Plush

My only Tod plush! I have to change that!

His chest, tail, and head tuft are super fuzzy!

Picture
Copper 3D Disney Figural Keychain Series 11

Part of the Disney Figural keychain series, both the fox and the hound received a keychain. Copper was purchased off of eBay since I don't care much for blind bags.

I'm hoping to add Tod to the collection.

Stitch

Picture
I ADORE Stitch! The Lion King may be my all-time favorite Disney movie, but Stitch is my all-time favorite Disney character! I mean, come on! The character himself has an amazing design and his voice is the cutest! What's not to love? Granted, he is super popular and I may be preaching to the choir, but it is worth repeating because Stitch is amazing. If I could, I would start a church dedicated to this little guy and I bet you I'd get mega church levels of people to attend in less than a week! Hey, the Russians did it with Gadget Hackwrench from Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers.

All joking aside (or am I joking?), Stitch is my favorite Disney character by far, and when I first saw him in theaters, I instantly fell for him. I had an entire collection of Stitch items when the movie first came out. That was the first collection I ever started and I was deeply saddened when I had to sell everything I had, yet I dare to call myself a Stitch fan! For shame!

Fun fact: Stitch is very popular in Japan. He has his own show over there, and he gets a fair assortment of items released at their Disney theme parks. Lots of Stitch goodies to come, from both the US and Japan. Hey, maybe all parts of the world have their own Stitch merchandise? After all, everybody loves Stitch!

Picture
Stitch Disneyland Plush

What a soft plush! I have never owned this plush when I first collected Stitch on account that I have never stepped foot into any Disney theme park. I saw it on eBay for a cheap price and decided to get him. He doesn't have any tags but that's alright. Just owning him is a pleasure.

Picture
Alien Stitch Disney Store Plush

The Disney Store online had a 40% off discount for certain plush on their website. I had to take advantage of the offer so I decided on getting this little guy.

As usual with these plush, he's very soft and well-made.

Picture
Babies Stitch Plush with Blanket

Part of the Disney Babies series only found at Disney theme parks, this little guy was sold on the Disney Store online for a limited time. I had to snatch him up as I do not see myself going to Disneyland anytime soon.

He's super soft! You just want to cuddle this plush.

Picture
Stitch Tsum Tsum Angry Variant

Tsum Tsums can look so angry yet be incredibly cute at the same time. I love that!

I need to stop beating around the bush and just purchase the normal Tsum Tsum plush. This one was at the Disney Store just begging to be purchased, which I was happy to do!

Picture
Stitch Large Size Tsum Tsum

They had plenty of these little guys in stock when I went to visit the closest Disney Store near me (a 2 hour drive). I thought I should pick one up so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. Shipping costs are a real drag.

He's very soft, pretty much made from the same material used to make the regular sized Tsum Tsums. I mention this because since he is larger, the smooth underbelly feels strange compared to the rest of his soft yet plushy body.

He's a very common site at Disney Store's so getting one will not be a challenge. Now to get the giant sized Tsum Tsum...

Picture
Stitch Funko Fabrikations Plush

Funko started a new brand of plush called Funko Fabrikations. They are not like the typical Funko figure with large, beedy eyes. They're more like the Mystery Minis, with cartoony eyes and character expressions.

Stitch looks really great with this expression. There are plenty of characters part of the Fabrikations line that came out great, but Stitch looks perfect!

Picture
Stitch Beans Collection Plush

Clair2522 was so kind enough to give me this as a gift! It wasn't my birthday or Christmas. She just gave it to me as a present! I cannot thank her enough for giving me this wonderful plush to add to my collection!

He's soft and stuffed with beans like a Beanie Baby! Surprisingl, there is no official Ty Beanie Baby Stitch! Change that, Ty! I'll throw all my money at you!

Oh well, this little guy is more than enough!

Picture
Stitch Disney On Ice Thermos

Given to me by the wonderful clair2522 as a birthday present, I have no idea where this came from! Alls I know is that it's a thermos to keep drinks warm or cool, depending on how you like it!

Sold at the Disney On Ice venues! How cool is this thing?

Picture
Disney Sketchbook Alien Stitch Ornament

Part of the Art of Disney Animation ornament series, here is a ornament of Stitch in his alien form imprisoned in some glass.

Picture
Disney Sketchbook Christmas Stitch Ornament

Always the wild little critter, Stitch getthing himself entangled in some Christmas lights.

Picture
Stitch Mystery Stack Pack Tsum Tsum Figure

Part of the blind bagged Mystery Stack Pack, this figure was another gift given to me by clair2522! A big thank you to such a wonderful friend! Yes, I really do not deserve my friends. I REALLY don't. I love them to pieces and they're way too good for me. I know I say this a lot but it's true.

These are the items that come with the figure in Tsum Tsum form. The green piece actually has a pole that is supposed to be placed vertically, which is to hold the yellow spaceship in place. It's a cute little figure and I am so happy to have this!

Picture
Stitch Disney Originals Infinity Figure

I do not play Disney Infinity, and I didn't know how popular the Stitch figures were going to sell, so I preordered mine just in case. Even if he didn't sell out, who cares! This figure is gorgeous and a must-have for Stitch collectors!

Picture
Stitch Disney Store Alien PVC Figure

Back when both the movie and TV show were a hit! I want to say I owned this figure but I'm not sure. I know I owned a Hasbro figure that looks exactly like this one so that's probably where my confusion lies. I never bought any Stitch items at the Disney Store, either.

Picture
Stitch Disney Store Monster PVC Figure

Sadly, he is scruffed and not in the best condition.

I was so excited to see this for auction that I didn't even bother looking to find another figure in better condition. I found a whole bunch of them afterwards. Unfortunately, the bid has been placed and I won the auction. I'm not upset that I won it but one of these days I would like to get another that is in much better condition.

He's still cute though! I call this his monster pose because he is pretending to be one.

Picture
Stitch Disney Store Four Legged PVC Figure

Not a spontaneous pose, but a cute one, nonetheless!

Picture
Stitch Disney Store Strap Figure

I found this on sale at a Disney Store when I went out of town. It was on sale and I had to have it. I'm kicking myself for not buying two so I could've used the other one!

Picture
Japanese Dizzy Stitch Figure

An item I purchased off of syminka after her trip from Japan! Japan's love for Stitch is shown in the amazing details of this figure! He's so cute and Japanese animation-like in this figure!

Picture
Stitch Flocked Funko Figure

I had purchased this thinking I was getting the regular Stitch figure, but when I received it, I was suprised to see it was the flocked version!

Flocked is how you see it. He is covered in this fuzzy texture that is soft to the touch.

Picture
Elvis Stitch Funko Pop Figure

This was a spur-of-the-moment buy. I have always wanted a Funko Pop figure of Stitch, and since the Hot Topic I went to had two left for sale, I decided to grab him. The lady who helped me was nice enough to get me the figure that was in the best condition!

Bronx the Gargoyle Beast

Picture
Yes! I love the show Gargoyles! To this day I still watch it and never get bored of the reruns! I remember coming home after school to watch it religiously! For me it was Gargoyles first, homework second! I loved the show because it didn't treat the viewers like a bunch of idiots who needed everything dumbed down. For a 90s Disney Afternoon show, it was very serious, gritty, and I am still amazed at a lot of the stuff they got away with! For sure, it was Disney's darkest show at the time (and probably still to this day). It had that perfect balance of being serious while still being fun to watch.

By the way, the comics that continued the storyline from the second season are a lot bloodier, darker, and grimmer
, and while I am not the biggest fan of those elements taken to a higher degree, the comics somehow make it work by having us invested in the story with good writing. It also helped that Gargoyles started out dark. If this show had started off completely lighthearted, I don't think I would have liked the transition. Then again, if the comics had transitioned to be a lot more lighthearted compared to the show, I would not have liked that either.

While the dark tone was a nice change of pace from your typical Disney cartoon, it was the characters that had me completely hooked! This is one of the few shows out there where I actually loved all the characters, even the scummiest of villains. With that said, I want to dedicate my time and money to my favorite character of the series: Bronx! I love his design and personality (yes, he has one). The writers of the show handled his own stories very well! It's too bad there are no plushes of this magnificant beast. Thank goodness for custom plush artists!

It is also worth noting that all of these figures were released in 1995, when the show was so popular that action figures were made.

Picture
Bronx Funko Figure

The last Bronx figure to ever be released was at the height of the series' popularity, which was in 1995. So, 23 years later, we get a brand new Bronx figure in Funko form. Funko gets a lot of crap but I am happy to have this figure and I am glad they remembered the series despite its age. Could this be a sign of a new series coming in the future? Not that I am relying on Funko for that, but you never know! Please, Disney, bring back this series!

Picture
Bronx Pen Party Pens and Pendants

These figures are not just made to make the pens
look stylish. They also act as pendants that you can put around your neck! How cool is that?

The pride and joy of my Bronx collection! These pens are very hard to find, and if they are found, they usually run for a very high price. I was very fortunate to nab these pens for a great price, and I will never take them out of their package! I wish I could! I would love to wear that Bronx pendant!

Picture
Bronx Kenner Figure

This figure also came with body armor and a glider. I am not sure why they added that considering Bronx never wore such a thing in the show. Oh well, I don't really care for the extra accessories and I was mostly after the figure. If you move his back legs, his jaws open! I love the details they did inside his mouth! Gorgeous figure and very well made!

Picture
Bronx Applause PVC Figure

Applause was a company that made some decent figures and plushes. They made quite a few Pokémon plushes, but the quality of those toys weren't that great. Fortunately, they handled the Gargoyles series well! I love Bronx's pose!

Picture
Bronx Burger King Figure

This figure was also included with a castle-like dog house that could be used to launch this puppy.

Picture
Bronx Tiny Sculpture Figurine

This thing is tiny! One of my cuter Bronx figures!

Picture
Bronx Skybox Pop Up Trading Card

A whole set of these cards were made around 1995 as a variant of trading cards. I had a hard time figuring out how to pop this guy out. It's not rocket science. I'm just incompetent.

Picture
Bronx 1995 Skybox Glow in the Dark Card

It glows in the dark! Pretty cool! I also love the artwork for him here!

Frankenweenie

Picture
This was a remake that I was really anticipating! Yes, I do like some remakes. They can be done well when directed in the right hands. Since it was directed by the same guy who did the original (the great Tim Burton), you can see it was in good hands. The original was a live-action movie made in 1984 and only lasted 30 minutes. Still, it was an adorable watch and it became a tradition for me to watch it on Halloween nights. If you haven't seen the original, go watch it! I will not link you to it, but you can find it on YouTube! I must warn you, if you are used to Tim Burton's more gruesome and darker stories, this may not be a good watch. While the story has plenty of dark elements, by Tim Burton standards, it's pretty lighthearted.

I adored the remake! It contained elements of the original while making something fresh for modern fans! And of course, who could forget the star of the movie? Sparky is the reason why I have an adoration for bull terriers! They are a funny-looking yet beautiful breed of dog! Unfortunately, no merchandise (other than some movie posters and a few VHS releases) exist for the original, but the remake has plenty of goodies to offer and more!

Picture
Sparky Plush

They had this beautiful plush at my local Toys R Us! I was so happy they had it! His box makes it look like he is in a graveyard! Really nice touch!

Picture
Undead Sparky and Victor Figures

Ahh, the classic tale of a boy and his dog. These two are great!

Undead Sparky is so cute!

Picture
Living Sparky and Persephone Figures

This figure of Sparky is of him when he was still alive. I am happy they added his girlfriend!

Picture
Sparky Keychain

This was given to me as a Christmas present from syminka! It was a real surprise and one I was happy not to expect!

Picture
Sparky Tin

This tin was, unfortunately, not sold in my neck of the woods. Syminka was so kind to pick this up for me at her local FYE.

Really nice tin! I also use it for storage.

Picture
Sparky and Victor Bookmark

A birthday gift from Syminka! I'm afraid it'll never be used, as I love it too much! It'll be displayed with love, though!

Sven from Frozen

Picture
Sven is adorable and I instantly fell in love with his character when I first saw him! Then again, I always love those animal characters who think and act like dogs! I find them precious.

I have to be honest, I didn't think I was going to like Frozen because I thought it looked too similar to Tangled (another Disney movie I love), but seeing it has caused me to perish those thoughts! While I wouldn't rank it so high up there with classics like The Lion King and The Little Mermaid due to it suffering from a couple of issues that I won't get into now, it was still a beautiful movie with wonderful characters! I recommend seeing it! You'll fall in love with the characters, especially Sven!

Picture
Sven Disney Store Plush

Oh my goodness. I am so happy to finally own the plush of this big lug! Ever since I saw Frozen, I knew I had to get something Sven related, and the Disney Store is known to release quality plush at the time of a movie release. Sadly, the people at Disney Headquarters didn't think Frozen items were going to sell because they anticipated the movie to not be a hit, so they made very few plush. They were wrong, and it showed! For months these items were sold out and were fetching a high price on eBay. Whatever was restocked was gone within minutes, online and offline! Phone calls were coming in inquiring when items would be restocked, and on the day the movie was released on DVD, people missed work just to buy restocked items! Yeah, this movie was that good.

The thing is, he did eventually become restocked months later. I paid a bit more for mine on eBay, but I was so impatient that I wasn't willing to wait months to get one of my own! I say it was worth it! I was so happy when I got this plush that having him there and then was worth the price.

The plush himself is really soft and detailed! His legs are also poseable! My favorite part of this plush is his face! That goofy expression melts my heart!

Picture
Sven Disney Store Large-Size Plush

This guy is actually not too much larger than the medium-size plush on top. What makes him unbelievably large are his antlers! This photo was a pain to take! I expanded the backdrop to Giant-Substitute plush size proportions and it still wasn't enough! This was as best as I was going to get for the minimal amount of space I am allotted.

Other than that, he is pretty much identical to his medium-sized counterpart. Same adorable goofy smile, same pose, and same softness!

Picture
Little Sven Disney Store Plush

I came to the Disney Store at the right time and got really lucky! I was out of town in a city that had a Disney Store and decided to go visit since I had the money. I didn't think they were going to have anything Frozen related considering how popular it was at the time, so I was not getting my hopes up to see anything I liked. I was wrong.

This little guy was in stock! To make things even sweeter, they were running out and I got one of the few remaining plushes! Happy? You bet I am! Of course, the stores would become restocked with more plushes eventually, but at least I didn't have to pay for shipping!

Little Sven is absolutely adorable! I love everything about this plush! My only criticism is that I wish they had a picture of him as a baby on the tag instead of his adult counterpart. The tag used is the exact same one used for his adult plush. Still, awesome little guy!

Picture
Little Sven with Snowflake on Tongue Disney Store Plush

Given to me as a Christmas present from the lovable syminka, let me just say I ADORE this plush!

It is well-made, soft, and full of charm! It captures Sven's goofiness to a T!

Picture
Little Sven with Snowflake on Tongue Disney Store Beanie

A smaller, beanie version of the plush above.

Picture
Sven Disney Animators' Collection Plush

This is not a plush to cuddle. He may look soft on the outside (and he is), but he is not stuffed with soft material in the inside. You pretty much have a robot in a Sven costume. This is one of those plushes does things on command, like telling him to "sit" or asking him if he wants any carrots and he'll react. I had one of these toys as a kid, only it never listened to me... Heh, I'm pretty sure the technology has advanced more to where these things are more interactive than the stuff that was released back in the 90s.

It's a cute idea for kids, but as an adult who just collects these items to display, I don't see myself interacting with this little guy that much. He doesn't mind, though!

Picture
Sven Tsum Tsum Plush

I knew Frozen was going to get the Tsum Tsum treatment, but I was happy they included Sven in the mix!

By the way, the large cream colored area around his eyes are not his actual eyes, just part of the fur around his eyes. It gives the illusion that they are part of his eyes, though.

Picture
Disney Store Sven Head Pillow

Found during my trip to the closest Disney Store, I HAD to pick this up! It would have probably cost a fortune to ship since it's so big.

Look at that head! It's soft and can very much make a great pillow. If he weren't part of my collection, I would have used it as a pillow since it's so soft!

Picture
Sven Itty Bittys Hallmark Plush

Another pickup from Syminka. Unlike the Disney Store, I do live close to a Hallmark store, but sadly, they were all out of the adorable reindeer (and all other Frozen characters, to the surprise of no-one). They eventually restocked the shelves, but you know me! Impatient as impatient can get!

He's small, but ultra cute and soft!

Picture
Sven Ty Beanie Baby Plush

I had a tough time getting this little guy, but not because he was hard to find. I intended on ordering him from a seller on eBay who was selling him for $5, not including shipping. The guy sends me a My Little Pony plush instead. I'm not an MLP fan so I had no desire to keep it. I returned it as soon as I could.

While sending me the wrong item was a downer,  I should also mention that it was painful going to work and seeing one of the kids have this plush and play with it everyday. I was so tempted to give him money for it!

Syminka eventually came to the rescue! She not only got me the cutest and well-made plush, she also sent it priority shipping on the house! Unfortunately, USPS ruined that part by sending the package back and forth from my state and her's. Regardless, I finally got the plush and that nightmare is over. Isn't he cute? Yes, he is!

Picture
Sven Grunting Plush

Of all the places I found this guy, it was at a Hobby Lobby! They had a basket full of these little guys, and I chose the one in the best condition. He has a price tag on his hang tag, but at this point, I was just happy to get a plush that had a hang tag to begin with, so I'm a happy camper!

Picture
Sven Plush Pillow

I found this guy by total accident! I was at Target with clair2522 and we just so happened to stumble upon this guy! Clair2522 was so kind enough to get this guy for me as a belated Christmas present and she could not have made me happier!

He's so big and squishy! He's perfect!

Picture
Sven Flipazoo Plush

This adorable plush can flip into a completely different character- Olaf the snowman! I'll be keeping him as Sven, of course!

Picture
Sven Super Cute Plushies Plush

There isn't anything too special about this plush other than it was made by Super Cute Plushies, a Funko brand of plush.

It is super cute! Nothing super special, but if you're a lover of this doggie reindeer, I say his super cuteness is enought to satisfy his collectors.

Picture
Sven Animators Collection Plush

Part of the Animators Collection series, he looks like something out of a 50s Disney cartoon!

Picture
Sven Emoji Plush

I took a picture of the "sillier" image of Sven just looking mortified. There are actually two "emoji" expressions with a happy-looking Sven on the back. I don't know why emojis are all the rage these days. I use them, too, and I admit I like them used on characters like this, but I guess I am just cranky about it since The Emoji Movie made me hate them just a bit. Sven looks cute, though. He'll never not be cute.

Picture
Frozen Disney Store Playset

One thing I never liked about Disney Store playsets, especially with popular movies like Frozen and Zootopia, is that they released multiple sets of these items, some featuring the same figures with only one figure that is new. I always found that way to sell more figures pretty sleazy, especially since they market them to kids and I doubt parents out there are going to want to pay money for something little Jane wants but technically already has (despite the fact that she wants what she doesn't have).

I normally take my figures out of the box to display them but I didn't with this one because space is limited and I do not want the extra characters to take them in the shelves. I only care about you-know-who. I really wish it was a standalone figure! He's so cute with those baskets of paint hanging down from his antlers!

Picture
Sven Funko Pop Figure

I have been waiting months for this moment! Wouldn't you know it that all the stores in the city that I live in wouldn't have it in stock until a few more months after its official release. It never fails!

I got impatient so I bought him online. I regret nothing!

Picture
Sven Mini Funko Blind Bag Figure

I knew Funko was going to make mini Frozen figures one day, but that is in no way a bad thing! When I saw the preview of the figures, I was hoping Sven would be one of the prizes, and sure enough, he was! The wait for the figures to be released in stores was a long one, but it was worth the wait!

Unlike the How to Train Your Dragon figures, since I didn't want every Frozen figure, I decided to just buy Sven from a seller directly. Blind bag figures really suck and apparently Sven was one of the rarer figures (thank goodness he was not the chaser figure). Regardless, since I wanted him so bad, I caved towards the price.

Here he is! This is such a good-looking figure! One of my favorites!

Picture
Sven Mini Figure

This is a cute figure of baby Sven. I would have taken him out of the box but I think he's perfect where he's at. Look at him! Isn't he precious? Yes, he is!

Picture
Sven Ornament

This is an ornament that I won on eBay. Actually, I think this was a cake topper that was made into an ornament. The string looks like it was added later. This is a pretty good sized and detailed figure, but I am thinking of replacing the string with something better.

Dante From COCO

Picture
Coco is a gorgeous movie. Those who are of Mexican descent will find this movie even more special, with its all Latino cast and staying true to Mexican culture, I was impressed to see Pixar doing their homework. There was a bit of backlash with Disney wanting to copyright the title "Day of the Dead" for this movie, which is a huge part of Mexican culture and to see it trying to be taken by an international corporation was grotesque, but in the end, they realized their error and had input from those who take Mexico's rich culture seriously, producing a quality movie for everyone to enjoy.

The movie had charming characters and storyline, but people who know me know that I cannot resist the animal characters in a movie. Dante was one of them. When I first laid my eyes on the puppy, I knew I had to have a mini collection at the least dedicated to him. For what kind of dog he is, he is what is known as a Xoloitzcuintle, or Xolo if that's too much of a mouthful to pronounce. In the US, they are known as the Mexican hairless dog and they are the national dog of Mexico. Their teeth are fragile and known to fall out, which is why their tongues hang out like in the same way Dante's does.

What do I have in my collection that has to do with the Xolo pup? Look below to see what he has!

Picture
Dante and Miguel Enesco Statue- Dante POV

This gorgeous statue, created by the talented folks at Enesco, was purchased off the Disney Store's online shop. Enesco is known for making quality Disney ceramic figures and statues of all-time character favorites. This was a must have.

Picture
Dante and Miguel Enesco Statue- Miguel POV

I had to show off this gorgeous statue in another angle!

Picture
Dante Disney Store Plush

As with all things Disney and Pixar, there is one thing I look forward to towards and during a movie's release- the Disney Store plushes. My parents got me this and the Alebrije plush below as Christmas gifts, knowing I would have loved to get my hands on these lovely boys. My parents know me TOO well.

Picture
Dante Alebrije Disney Store Plush

The Alebrije plush that my parents got me along with the regular Dante plush.

Alebrije is a form of art often seen in Mexican paintings and sculptures depicting monsters and other mythical creatures in folklore as colorful and vibrant. They're often creatures painted as one sees in dreams.

Picture
Dante Tsum Tsum Plush

Tsum Tsums are getting to be as popular as the Disney plushes, themselves. Of course I knew a Dante plush was coming out and of course I had to snatch it for my collection!

Picture
Dante Alebrije Interactive Plush

This is a funny plush. You pull his tongue and he barks and flaps his wings. Very cute touch!

Picture
Dante Mini Plush

Nothing too special about this little guy other than he is cute. He is soft, so he has that going for him if you want him as something for more than your collection.

Picture
Dante Funko Mini Figure

Funko always releases blind bag Pixar movie figures before their premier. I just had to get my hands on these figures when I first saw them. They did not disappoint. Their paint jobs are amazing!

Picture
Dante Alebrije Mini Figure

A figure of the Alebrije version. He has the same face as the original, but with colorful paint and in a sitting pose. You also cannot forget his wings!

Picture
Dante Motion Figure

There is a button that you push to make him dance. It's really cute. You have to get this figure to see it for yourself.

Picture
Coco Skull Collection (Dante Alebrije)

This set comes with the skull human characters as well as Alebrije Dante. There is a set with regular Dante and another with a fierce jaguar Alebrije character named Pepita. Yes, I would love to collect her items, too. Problem is she is huge! I need to make more room for my Disney collection.

Picture
Dante Alebrije Color Yourself Figure

I was not taking this figure out of the box as I do not trust my own coloring skills to not mess up this beautiful sculpt. You can color him yourself with the markers provided, but I'd much rather enjoy him MIB.

Picture
Dante Enamel Pin

This was given to me by my good friend, Syminka. This pin is just too gorgeous for words! I love it so much!

Other Disney Names

Picture
These items are only here as one-time buys, either because they do not have a whole lot to begin with or what they do have is so old and rare that it would be impossible to get right now. If enough items are purchased or I am really into their movies, I will give them a section of their own.

Picture
Siamese Cat Disney Store Plush

I LOVE the Siamese cats from Lady and the Tramp! I hope to one day have a main collection for them in this page! They have a lot of goodies to offer.

I was also fortunate enough to win two of the same plush in an auction on eBay! I was not able to get both of them in the picture, but the Disney Store didn't sell two different plushes. If you wanted twins like in the movie, you had to buy two of the same plush. As much as I wished they had two different plushes with different facial expressions, this is kind of neat, too.

Picture
Si and Am Tsum Tsum Keychain Plush

Only released in Japan, they had a promotion where they had most of the popular Disney cats in one glorious set! How I wish i could have purchased them all! I only purchased what I really wanted at the moment and that's these two precious kitties! Both are adorable but the bottom kitty's expression is just too cute!

How is it that my favorite characters in the movie are two cats who cause nothing but mischief? Mischievous characters were always my favorites, and coupled with the fact that Siamese cats are my favorite breed of cat, this were two characters that were just asking to be collected!

Picture
Si and Am Disney Sketchbook Ornament

This was a must have when they released these as part of the Art of Disney Animation ornament series. These ornaments were made from popular sketches of classic Disney movies.

Here are Si and Am going for that poor goldfish.

Picture
Finding Dory Otter Disney Store Plush

Finding Nemo is my second favorie Pixar movie of all-time, second to Up! I am not a huge fan of sequels to perfect movies, but when Finding Dory was announced, that had me stoked! Why? Because knowing the character Dory, it was bound to be a movie with a lot of laughs that doesn't take away from the first movie! I am glad they didn't cop out and had them look for Nemo again. Now THAT would have been lame.

Then along the way, they introduced the characters. They had an otter. AN OTTER! Otters are one of my favorite animals and they gave it sad eyes! All my love!

Very soft and look to melt the most frigid heart, it is a must have for otter lovers and fans of the movie!

Picture
Finding Dory Otter Tsum Tsum

Picked up by the glorious Syminka since she has a Disney Store within driving distance, this was a must have.

Picture
Finding Dory Kissing Otter plushes

These adorable otters can kiss and hug thanks to little magnets that are in their paws and noses. Even if you didn't like the movie, this is a must-have for any otter lover.

Picture
Finding Dory Mini Funko Otter Figure

This figure was won off of eBay with little competition. The otter is a popular character, and so cute, too! Look at that dorky little otter face. ^^ Too adorable!

Picture
Finding Dory Otter Mini Figure

Another pickup from Syminka! This was from a blind bag set similar to the ones from the Lion Guard on the top of the page. Unlike high-end vinyl figures, these are made of PVC plastic and do not come double packed in boxes, making figuring out what character is in the package really easy. It's not the best way to hide a figure, but hey, they're made with kids in mind.

I don't want to say the quality is bad because, by gosh, this is a well-made figure! The paint job isn't terrible and he just screams "hug me!"

Picture
Kozlov Zootopia Funko Mystery Mini Figure

I love Zootopia, but I had no intention of collecting any of the characters from the movie. I love rabbits and foxes, sure, but the amount they had was too much and even then, none of them really appealed to me.

That was, until Syminka gave me this figure. This is a very minor character in the movie. He didn't even speak and to be honest, I didn't even think about him once the movie ended. He was just there to be the muscle.

I cannot say I disliked this figure and it grew so much on me, I purchased the figure below! Read on!

Picture
Kozlov Zootopia Action Figure

This was purchased as a result of the Mystery Mini above! What a neat looking character. It's just a shame that polar bear characters tend to not be the most popular. I wonder why? I love polar bears...

This big brute also came with a Mr. Big figure, the Godfather-esque arctic shrew character. The little guy was a well-made figure, but he was impossible to take a picture of because of how small he was and his color blended into the background. I gave up after what must have been 13-15 tries. Definitey more than 10.

So, this is all I am showing. Very well-made figure. The paint job isn't sloppy and he has his usual semi-emotionless expression that makes him someone not to mess with.

Picture
Bruno Large Size Disney Store Plush

This guy is big! I had a hard time taking a picture of him due to his size, but I managed! Not too many people remember Bruno, but he was the dog owned by Cinderella. He didn't get a lot of screentime, but I do remember what little he did get!

He doesn't have his hang tag, but I got him for a great discount because of that! The large size plushes are not cheap, so I was grateful for that!

Picture
Bruno Tsum Tsum Plush

This is the cutest Tsum Tsum I have ever laid my eyes on! He looks so cute and cuddly!

Picture
Nana Medium Size Disney Store Plush

I really do not remember Peter Pan that much. I liked the movie, but it was one of those older movies that I wasn't really too interested in. I do remember and loved this girl! I always thought it was cute having a dog as a nursemaid! St. Bernards are nice.

Even though she is identified as medium sized, she is slightly larger than a regular medium plush.

Picture
Lucifer Medium Size Disney Store Plush

This loveable bastard! I love this cat! Yes, he was a mean kitty and he would always pick on those poor mice, but his antics were hilarious! Thanks to syminka's tip that they had this guy at the Disney Store, I managed to snap an evil kitty for myself (back when I actually lived near a Disney Store)! He is about the size of a regular cat!

Cats are the greatest! Too bad Disney was not a cat person himself, but he is the man responsible for making so many wonderful movies and characters, so I can let it slide.

Picture
Shere Khan Disney Store Plush

Wow, syminka was not kidding. These plush are derpy! I wouldn't be so hard on them if they weren't made for the Disney Store. When you think of Disney Store plush, you think of good-quality, detailed, on-model plushes. This... this looks like something made for Toys R Us or Target. The details are really lackluster, and this is not the finest plush the Disney Store has ever released. That's a real shame, as The Jungle Book is one of my favorite movies.

While the details are a major downer, the quality on Khany here is still good. The fabric is really soft and the stitching is the kind of quality you would expect from the Disney Store. I just wish they had captured his ferocity and cunningness a lot better. He looks way too tame here. To me, this isn't Shere Khan but an overgrown tabby.

Picture
Bagheera Disney Store Plush

The details on Bagheera look better (at least his facial features), but they are still disappointing. The quality... oh boy. He feels really loose, as if they didn't stuff him with enough cotton. This makes his body look wrinkled and it just looks awful. Last time I checked, he was a black panther, not an accordion!

I may not be happy with the details and quality, but I am still happy to own them. A big thank you to syminka for doing the pick up for me. She picked the best looking ones, and that was not an easy feat considering she had to pick the least terrible one out of the pile of sucky plush that they had. Why would I ask her to pick up such awful-looking plush for me? For one thing, Shere Khan and Bagheera are my favorite characters in The Jungle Book, and the other is that the Disney Store had a two for the price of one discount sale, which was great because I wasn't going to pay full price for these two.

Picture
The Jungle Book Tsum Tsums

I was able to get the entire set with the exception of Kaa! I plan on getting her (or him?) sometime in the future and I'll have to retake the picture to include her (or him) in the set.

I know these came out with the live-action movie in mind, but they look a lot like their animated-movie counterparts and with Kaa, what does that make her? The animated version is male, but the live-action version is female. I'll just go with her because of the live-action movie that came out.

Picture
Bolt Medium Size Disney Store Plush

This was entirely unexpected. I bought this in spring 2016. Why did I find this plush, of all characters, in the Disney Store? I mean, I love Bolt as a character but his movie wasn't exactly a classic and as far as I am aware there was no re-release.

I guess in the end it really doesn't matter. I love the character and hey, that's all the matters.

Picture
Bolt Small Size Disney Store Plush

I think I would be preaching to the choir here if I were to say how adorable this plush is! While I love the character of Bolt, sadly, I am not a fan of his movie. It was just not my cup of tea.

I also love Mittens and I hope to get something of her's in the future.

Picture
Dug Small Size Disney Store Plush

My favorite Pixar character from my current favorite Pixar movie! This guy was a typical goofy Golden Retriever and I loved him for that!

This was the only plush I managed to get when Up was in theaters. I just didn't have the money to buy more plushes, and I think that was around the time I sold a lot of my Disney items. I hate having to do that, but there are times when these things have to take a back seat.

This is a really soft plush! I am currently after more plushes of this lovable Goldie!

Picture
Disney Pixar Collection Cuddle 'N' Talk Dug

This was an expensive plush! A little TOO expensive, if you ask me! In my opinion, he was not worth what he was sold for. The price tag was so high that no one was buying them. I had to put this guy on layaway because of that and it wasn't until recently when they finally chopped 50% off his price tag! That's nuts!

Still, he's a well-made plush. His voice box is as clear as a bell and he's so soft and cuddly. I don't regret buying him at all! I just wish they made a figure for him, too!

Picture
Disney Pixar Collection Mini Dug Plush

I found this little guy for sale at a Toys R Us Express. They were selling him for a decent price so I decided to get him. He's soft and cuddly. I wouldn't expect anything less from the Pixar Collection series.
