Updates and news 2017
December 5, 2017
9:35 PM CDT
- Not a single update for the month of November. Yikes! It's not like I wasn't active online in November, either. I also had a bunch of updates that could have been spilled, but yeah. Priorities.
But yeah, lots of updates today. First off, gets.
Lots of new gets! I purchased a few items from the new Pokémon Center Christmas promotion featuring Rockruff! I got the plush, the charms, the metal stand clip, and the pin badge. I also got the Charizard Pokémon Center lotto plush that has been bumping up in price over the past few weeks. I should have ordered it when it first came out but, you know, priorities. I'm glad I got it. I would hate to pay through the nose for that thing.
Another get: a badass Incineroar figure that looks like he's tackling you with fire. Kind of like his special Z-move in the games. Pretty cool!
I also ordered the Look Upon the Stars "PET" seal, whatever that means. I tried looking it up and all I got in the search engine are mentions of literal "pet" seals and if people can have one as a pet. I got it in the mail and it looks like a print that you can frame. If anyone knows what that is, please let me know. I don't want to remove it from the packaging to find out what it is.
Other than that, I got gifts for family and friends. My brother is a huge fan of shiny Pokémon and I got him the shiny Mimikyu plush. That's probably one of the most exciting things I love about buying Pokémon-related gifts for my fellow Pokémon-loving friends and family: surprising them with stuff like this.
- In other news, I did get the Electabuzz figure from Y!J a few weeks ago. Thank God it's not a typical garage kit. You can actually assemble the pieces and they look to be painted already. I have yet to set it up but I'll get to that in a bit. I'm currently busy with work and house renovations since the hurricane that hit a few months back. Wow, that feels like ages ago. I guess in Trump years, one week feels like one year. Okay, I know. I just had to make that sort-of true joke.
I believe that's all for now. I have all my new gets together in a container and I'll look to see if I missed anything. Picture day will be sometime next year and yeah, it's going to be that time where 2017 comes to an end. Rot in hell, 2017. You reeked even worse than 2016, and that's really bad.

- Holy crap! Where has my mind been these past few weeks?? The last two updates had 2013 as their dates instead of 2017. Maybe it was a freudian slip considering I wish it were 2013 when Obama was still president, but let's not go there.
Okay. The reason for the update is I am FINALLY going to be adding information and titles to all the items I have yet to label since the last picture day (which was back in September). While work has been keeping me busy, I still post on Bulbagarden and it shows I'm not too busy. I just forget to update this site. When I do remember, I'm either too tired or I'm in the middle of something else. Okay. Enough diddling around. Off to update.
- BUT, before I update, I have new gets! I got both the PC Dusk Lycanroc and Tomy plush in the mail. I've still yet to get the can badges, but I know they'll get here eventually. It sucks though because I ordered those before the Lycanroc plushes and they have yet to arrive. =\
Another get was this awesome-looking Electabuzz figure on Y!J. There were actually two of them: one with yellow lightning around it and another with blue lightning. They were expensive- running at $203 with all the deputy fees included. I translated what the description to the item said and it mentioned it was a garage kit and not an official item. Dear God, please let it be a garage kit that is already painting and assembled. Why have two that show two completely different colors in both images if they just the same blank sheet that can be painted any color. That's why I didn't buy both of them. I want to see if the one I bought is simply unpainted. If they come already pre-assembled, great! If not, guess I am shipping this and the other garage kits I have to a professional. I thought I could assemble garage kits. Looks like I bit off more than I can chew.
Oh well. Off to update stuff.

- Collection update! Both the Tomy and Pokémon Center Lycanroc Dusk form plushes have been purchased. As much as I complained about the Dusk form being a recolor, I cannot say no to collecting it. It is a wolf and I love wolves.
There will probably not be anymore collection updates for the rest of the month. There are a lot of birthdays this month where I have to spare my money for gifts for my friends and family. Because of that and because the year is coming to a close, the next picture day may happen in November or December.
But those are some nice gets for the month! I'll be updating with art and information on new images, soon. Toodles for now!

- Collection news: I purchased all the Pokémon With You buttons off of eBay today. The buttons are of Charizard, Rockruff, and Litten. I also purchased Popplio for a friend whose birthday is coming up. I am very excited for these buttons. I hope to purchase the Lycanroc Dusk form plushes at the end of the month (or sooner, depending on my commission load). The thing I hate about collecting current generation Pokémon is the amount of merchandise that comes out can be overwhelming. Doesn't help the companies fall back on using popular Pokémon like Charizard numerous times despite its irrelevance in Gen VII, but I digress.
- On another note, I noticed I forgot to take pictures of two items I had before the last picture date. It was a New Year Pokémon Center postcard and the Build-A-Bear Hookfang plush. I did have them displayed and I forgot to add them to Lioness's to-do list. I will be adding these items for the next picture date.
- Some last bit of collecting news. I think I am going to scrap the garage kit building page and just send the figures off to a professional garage kit builder. I managed to get the beginning portion of building these things in the right direction, but I am having anxieties about spraypainting them. I bought a spraypaint machine off of eBay for a stupidly cheap price, but since I don't know how to spraypaint and it looks like a machine that screams "you get what you pay for," I think I'll just ask a professional to finish what I started. That'll give me one less thing to do on this site. It would have been cool to build them on my own, but I'd rather have them looking great than being semi-okay at best.
- One last thing that has nothing to do with collecting but has plenty to do with this site. I am thinking of moving Big Cat Collections out of Weebly and working straight from my web host. It'll be a lot more work since I will not have access to convenient features, but in the end, I'll be saving a lot more money since I wouldn't have to pay for two services. I also want to free up the service that would allow me to open up a second website; one where I can showcase my artwork just in case FurAffinity gets DDOS'ed like it tends to get once in a while. It'll be a long process, but I hope to have the transition be smooth and allows me to duplicate this website perfectly.
That's the bit of news for now. I'll be getting to adding info and titles soon. Toodles!

- Wow, I have neglected this site for almost a month, and I have yet to add info to a lot of the images I posted since last picture date. I do have an explanation for that.
My new tablet arrived a few weeks ago and I am getting caught up on work that I am behind on. I lacked a tablet for two months and that's two months of work that I need to get done. I'll socialize online, but coming to add info to this site was always put off.
The work I needed to get done is almost finished but I am looking to take commissions online along with offline work. I LOVE my new tablet. It took a while to get used to but I caught on eventually. There's pros and cons to it, of course, but overall, I am loving it. It's nice to work directly from the tablet's screen unlike my old tablet where I had to look at the computer monitor. The pen pressure is something that I'm still getting used to but I'm slowly getting it. I cannot wait to get the new images ready for this site. That'll be happening later in October (hopefully).
So yeah, just letting you all know I am not dead. I will be adding info, pics, and more stuff that needs to be done soon. No new gets. I am taking a break from collecting for now. That won't last for long as I plan on getting more items once I have my commissions in order.
Catch you cats on the flip side!

12:51 PM CDT
- More picture updates for today! I'll be taking pics of the rest of the items in my to-do list. I hope to get this done before the sun sets so that way I can retake any images that need be. There was only one image that needed to be retaken yesterday so I'll get to that today. I'll be updating later today when I am finished.
- It is now 2:31 PM and all the items had their pictures taken. I have yet to look at them and edit them so there is a chance that I may have to go back and retake another picture. If that happens, there's still plenty of daylight outside so this shouldn't be an issue. I'll be back with more updates.
- At 3:57 PM, all images are finally uploaded to the site! It's a lot of work getting those images cropped and cleaned up, but so worth it.
Item blurbs and a few titles will be added later this week. I'll try my hardest not to put it off for so long. I'm also getting a new tablet so expect new art to be added to the Generation VII page, as well.
For now, enjoy the images and toodles!

1:09 PM CDT
- Picture day is today! I am going to do something a little different this time. I will be going over the to-do list and deleting what I have already took a picture of. I will also be adding placeholder titles all over the site since Weebly has changed how it uploads images. I don't care for that, but whatever. I'll be back with an update of when I finish taking pictures.
- As of 4:57 PM, I have taken half the images I wanted to take. Today was a real pain. The most difficult thing to take a picture of was that giant Lapras plush. I had to widen the backdrop to its maximum capacity, and when I finally did get the picture, it was pretty much just smooth sailing from there. I will be taking a break from taking pictures the rest of the day because I want to develop the images I have now and retake them just in case I lose daylight. I would hate to retake a picture of that Lapras plush. I'll be uploading the images I have taken as soon as they are cropped and ready to be show off! No descriptions will be added yet.
- It is now 7:00 PM and the sun is being blocked out by a bunch of clouds. No natural light means no more pictures for the day. I did get done taking the pictures I wanted for today and only one item needs to have its picture retaken (thankfully it isn't the giant Lapras plush). What I did take is already uploaded. There were even some items I forgot to add from the to-do list! Have a look!
More tomorrow. See ya then.

- Well friends, I survived my third hurricane.
It was not terrible where I lived. We did get a lot of rain and wind, but it was nothing to the extent of what is going on in Houston. I live in an area where flooding rarely occurs and because it was so bone dry from months of lack of rain, the flooding went away the next day. The worst my neighborhood got was a week without power, which in Texas, can be a nightmare from the lack of AC. It just got restored today which is why I am writing just now. I also had a down fence post and a few loose shingles from the roof, but other than that and a few nights without a good night sleep, it was like the hurricane was never here.
As mentioned above, Houston was not so fortunate. It's a lovely city with lovely people. If you can, please give to help these folks out. I am going to recommend a charity called Operation USA. You know where your money is going with these guys and they're not large takers that pay huge bonus salaries to their CEOs like the Red Cross. Your donations will actually go to those who need it.
A big shout out to the wonderful folks from all over the state and neighboring states who came to help out with the relief effort. My power was fixed by not only the local power company but they also had help with a power company from Oklahoma. Their job is far from done and they now have to help with all the cities to the north. God bless these people.
For now, things are back to normal where I am at. Picture day will still be on for this Saturday. My collection is still in storage but they will be returned to their normal positions this weekend.
Have a good one, everyone. Toodles for now.

- I hate to be updating earlier than expected with bad news, but now it looks more likely to be the case.
Picture day will be postponed for September 2. The weather is going to be really bad on August 26 and I am expecting power to be out all over the city on that day since, you know, it's hurricane season. It blows, but I cannot control mother nature. Hopefully it will not be too terrible and I'm praying this storm will pass without incident.
I do find it funny that Texas has never had a hurricane in about 9 years and is now at risk of having one as soon as I moved back. Not only that, it has one when that person who shall not be named is in his first year as president and has made little effort in his administration to prepare for hurricane season. I've been through two hurricanes in my lifetime and they're awful. Places flood, winds are strong enough to do lots of property damage, and at its worst, people are killed; but at least we had a competent government to help out should an emergency be declared. Now it's unnerving, to say the least.
That's pretty much the news for today. It's a shame it couldn't be better, but yes, for now, picture date is postponed. I'll update once the storm is over. Toodles.

- Sorry for being AWOL these last couple of days. I am still settling in and getting everything in order. I started putting up my shelves and collection up. Looks nice! I will not be displaying what I have yet to take pictures of and it looks like that'll be happening August 26. That's my official date for picture taking.
My goodies from Pokevault arrived a few days ago. They are the Lycanroc items I mentioned in my last update. I'll be taking pictures of those along with everything else on the 26th. So, keep a lookout for the 26th! I'll be updating then.
- Since September is coming up, that is going to be the time I officially purchase a new drawing tablet. Because of that, I will be taking a short break from collecting from then until I can get my finances back in order since it's my money maker and the money I make will be needed to pay off said tablet and, of course, bills.
I may buy small items here and there, but for sure never over $20 until the tablet is paid off. There is no set date on that, but maybe by December at the earliest. Here's hoping. Also, with the new tablet, expect more artwork for the Generation VII page. With a new Lycanroc form and images of the Litten-line that need to be drawn, expect some new art for that page soon.
Okay. Catch you all on the 26th.

4:30 AM CDT
- I have been back in my home state for a couple of days now and already I miss the Nevada weather. It's humid here! At least the heat in Nevada was a dry heat. Texas heat is stifling hot!
Other than the weather, it's good to finally be back here and settling in. Moving is always a pain and this time it was no exception. My collection and stuff are all still in boxes and have yet to be put up. I am surprised the internet and cable were put in right away. There's that.
But enough about the move. I did finally get the items I had pre-ordered and had sent to Texas before I got here. The GEM Charizard figure and Mega Man X Armored Nendoroid look gorgeous and were exactly as I expected them to be, but what really surprised me was the X-Plus Charizard. I was wondering why a figure that was 2 cm smaller than the classic Mega Man X-Plus figure cost twice as much to ship. I know they force EMS on these large packages, but the cost of shipping was the same amount as the damn toy and that's only happened on figures that were freaking huge, and the classic MM X-Plus figure, from what I remembered, did not cost $75 to ship via EMS. So why pay twice for something that was 2 cm shorter?
One thing Amiami did not mention about this figure, and it's important, is how WIDE it was. I should have known that and I guess I was just going on what Amiami had mentioned, but the wingspan actually widened his box to where it bumped up EMS shipping to something unbelievable. Of course I wanted it right away. I would kick myself for him to sell out and be sold for twice as much. He is beautiful and I cannot wait to take pictures of the new toys.
I did say I would take pictures as soon as I can reassemble the shelves and start reorganizing again. I didn't mention this because of how busy I was offline (and when I was online, I would be dicking off somewhere else), but I did buy two more items for the collection. I really wanted the Lycanroc Kid figure and something from the "Look Upon the Stars" promotion, so I also got an Lycanroc constellation acrylic keychain.
So that's that. I'll be taking pictures of them all soon. Depends when the Lycanroc stuff comes in. I'm a little miffed at Charizard still getting items from the Pokémon Center, but I will not be purchasing anymore Charizard items that were or are going to be released from July through December. I want to focus on other collections and once I get bored of that, then I'll go back for what Charizard has through these months if nothing more is released. Who knows? Maybe I will get a couple of things, but there's a lot of 7th Gen stuff that I want bad! I cannot have Charizard steal all the glory, can I? (Even if he is the main thing that attracts people to this site, but I digress)
More soon folks. I'll be back with an update when the items get here. For now, more unboxing and junk. Toodles.

- Howdy folks! One more item has been paid off: the X-Plus Charizard figure. It was a lot more expensive than I anticipated. I knew the shipping would be high but it was a lot higher than I expected it to be, bumping up a $75 figure up to $150. =/ Of course they made me use EMS as an option because the stupid thing is big and they cannot ship larger than a human baby without EMS. I guess that's okay because I get it sooner, but I won't even be seeing it until I am in Texas at the end of the month.
I'm not too thrilled about that high shipping price, either. The dollar has been going down and it looks like the high it once enjoyed is starting to wane. It's not too much of a surprise, either. But at least it's still above the yen by 111. If it was below 100, I probably will not be importing for a long time because screw that.
- On another note, I will not be seeing that Charizard figure or the GEM figure until I move. I will be leaving the 26th, which is five days from now and with a three day drive ahead, I will not be at my destination until the 29th. Nevada, I love you and you were so good to me. The people were so friendly and the landscape was marvelous. Oh, and goodbye wonderful northern Nevada winters. The snow is what I'll miss the most. Well, it wasn't fun shovelling it, but it was sure fun playing in it!
But, where I will be moving, snowfall comes but once every 20 years. Last snowfall was in December 2004. Maybe 2024 there will be snow again?
Okay, back on topic. I will probably see my new toys before I update this site in August. Again, new images may be taken in August while I am setting everything up.
So, no new updates til early August. For now, toodles!

- The people in Texas who are getting my packages have received the GEM Charizard figure. I can't wait to see it in person!
- Besides that update, I know I was supposed to add Torracat and Incineroar original drawings in the Gen VII page. They're not anywhere near finished and it looks like they will be put off until I get my tablet replaced, which will be in August. I want to get adjusted to the new place first before I begin my artwork again only because moving is a pain in the ass and it can be draining, both physically and emotionally. Also, knowing Time Warner/Spectrum, they take their sweet time getting cable and the internet setup in a new house. I've moved three times and it never fails. Oh well, it could be worse. They could be Comcast. *shudder*
With that said, picture day may be moved earlier than planned. Instead of September, I'm thinking sometime a bit after the move so that way I can take pictures of the new items in my collection and place them in their shelves without having to worry about displaying them only to remove them and place them back in the display shelf again. This is not set in stone. It may or may not happen. It really depends on how I feel.
I'll come back with more news when more items make it to Texas. Lots to come! Toodles!

- Wow. Just yesterday, it seemed like June was here. Well, that's because June was here yesterday. But, goodbye June of 2017. You are but a distant memory.
So, I fibbed a bit in my last entry. No Neo Plex Charizard figure has been paid for and yet I am still updating. Why is that? You see, the giant Lapras has arrived at my house and let me tell you, she's a lot larger than I expected her to be. I'm serious. She's about as wide as the giant Substitute plush and a few centimeters taller. Looking at the two, I think she's wider if I was to count her front flippers. Yeah, she's huge. Was she worth the price? Oh, hell yeah. She's gorgeous and I am happy to finally have her in my house. I was worried I wasn't going to get her until Wednesday since it's the 4th of July weekend. Thank goodness there was no wait time.
I think I made a big deal about this a while back, but for now, I actually don't have to worry about where to put her for now. I'm moving in a few weeks so why bother? I'll worry then. For now, I just want to admire her stunning size and beautiful details.
The next update will not be until I pay for that X-Plus figure or when my family in Texas get the figures I ordered in my previous update. Toodles!

- Already going to be July tomorrow. My goodness, how time flies. I'll be in Texas later this month. I've been packing all of my collection and just having them stored away until it's time to move. I'm going to miss Nevada. The weather and landscape are gorgeous, especially in the winter time. I'll miss the snow the most. Moving is always bittersweet for me. It's the end of living in one place I called home but I'm off to a home I miss. I'll be close to friends and family I just can't wait to see.
Of course there are collection updates. I mentioned in my last entry that my pre-orders will not be coming here but to a relative's address in Texas so I don't have to lug them back with me in their boxes. Well, two out of the three items have been paid for today. Those items are the GEM Charizard figure and the Nendoroid Mega Man X armor figure. The armor figure was supposed to come out in April, but was postponed for late June. One thing I noticed about Mega Man figures is that they are never released on time. They are always pushed back a few months before they are finally released. I do not like that, especially when currency needs to be converted. I do not take the high dollar for granted and I know in the blink of an eye that can fall dramatically. I would hate to pay 2011 prices again and sometimes making pre-orders on Amiami can be nerve-wracking because of that. Postponing an item just makes that feeling worse.
Other than that, there is one more item that needs to be paid off and that's the Neo Plex Charizard figure. I didn't know it was made from the Gigantic series line (the people who make the X-Plus figures). From what I saw from pre-release images, it is big, but not as big as the classic Mega Man figure I have (by 3 cm). Okay, nevermind, that's pretty big. A mere 3 cm is not going to change that. I am expecting the shipping to be high because they always force customers to use EMS on larger figures. His release date? I don't know. I know it's going to be sometime in July.
Still, exciting stuff! I'll be back with updates when I pay off the last figure. For now, toodles!

- A box from my good friend, syminka, came in today! In the box were a few goodies, including:
- Four super-soft HTTYD plushies (Toothless, Stormfly, Hookfang, and Meatlug)
- Growlithe Tomy plush (he's not soft at all, but cute)
- Litten Tomy plush (like Growlithe, he is not soft)
- Arcanine Tomy plush (this one is actually soft)
Growlithe and Litten came with just a hang tag, but Arcanine was boxed like Charizard. I guess the plushies that came boxed were the soft ones. The boxed plushes are also unbelievably more expensive, and if I was to give my hypothetical kid a toy, I would rather it be soft and inexpensive. What is up with making the softer toys more harder to get? I know if I was an 8-year-old Pokémon fan and I wanted the Arcanine or Charizard plush, my parents wouldn't get me either due to how expensive they are. They'd tell me to wait for my birthday or Christmas, but knowing Tomy, they wouldn't be around by the time either day of the year showed up.
Not that Growlithe and Litten were cheap themselves, for kids at least. When you look at it in today's market, they're decently priced at $13.99, but when I was 8-years-old, these plush would probably have been priced at $6. My parents would still tell me to wait for my birthday or Christmas, and they'd more than likely tell me to only pick one or the other.
But my problem is with the larger plush. I feel like those are meant for older collectors, but you'd think they'd make softer plush that are easier to get for younger kids. I hated the material Growlithe and Litten were made out of when I was little. I preferred soft toys. To this day I still prefer soft toys. I'll give the stiffer material one compliment for younger kids- they don't wear as easily and they are easier to clean. That's nice, I guess.
- On a different note, the giant Lapras plush will be arriving later this week or early next week. It's already in the US and on it's way to my house. I would have shipped it to Texas like I am doing with a few of other items I'm ordering so I wouldn't have to lug everything I'm getting when I move (Plex Neo and GEM Charizard will not be seen until I move), but this one I just had to see for myself. I couldn't wait until late July!
Someone on Pkmncollectors posted images of their Lapras and it just made me want mine even more now. I missed browsing on Pkmncollectors. I should really go back. Not to sell. I hate selling. Just go back and enjoy my collecting roots.
That's all the news for now. Catch y'all later.

- The invoice for the giant Lapras plush came in yesterday and it was paid off. I can't wait to get that thing in my house! It's pretty exciting stuff. Where I am going to put it... err... that's a question for another day.
- No more collection or site updates. Just some yakking away. Feel free to leave if you don't like this stuff. If you do, please proceed! I hope you stay to read. =)
I've had a Twitter account for all of 3 months (I think?), and already I hate it. I used it mostly as a cathartic device than anything else, but even then, I felt like I was yelling at the wind and the wind's minions were yelling back at me and calling me names. It wasn't fun. I guess it's my fault for using it other than a fun account but man, did I make things worse, like I tend to do. =\
I'm not too upset over it, really. In actuality, I'm not much of a social media person. I like to respond to people more than come up with updates on my personal life or make up witty quotes that gets 12k likes and retweets. It had it's good points, but the fact that I was getting yelled at and called names just wasn't what I would call a good experience.
Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Catch you cats on the flipside.

- No collection or site updates, but it does include bad news that involves my line of work. I do commissions for a living. Not online, but locally and that is how I make a good chunk of my money for bills, gasoline, food, and of course, toys for my collection. Well, my main tool for getting commissions done? My tablet broke. Or, more specifically, the damn pen broke.
My tablet is old. I mean, it's 14 years old going on 15. Yet, I never felt like I needed to upgrade. It works like a charm and it gets the job done. However, there is the fact that it is so old that Wacom is no longer fixing them due to outdated components, I think it's about time I got a new tablet altogether, not just replace the pen that was causing all the problems in the first place. Let me tell you, over the years, the pens have been the biggest pain in the ass. I have replaced the stupid thing three times in the 14 years I have had this tablet. I don't want to spend another $60 on something that may break again in the future.
So, looks like I am retiring my current tablet and I am currently looking for a newer model. I am not looking for anything fancy like a Cintiq. It would be nice to get a Cintiq, but I am just looking for something simple and would allow me to do my work without any of the BS. I found some nice Bamboo and Intuos Pro tablets for good prices. They're not as large as my current tablet though I doubt they make them that big anymore. Maybe it's best to downsize anyways. It also doesn't have to be a Wacom model. I just want something solid and would allow me to continue to create.
What does that mean for collecting? Well, the money I have now will go towards the pre-orders I have since they are with Amiami and you know how they are about cancellations. However, anything I planned on getting in-between will have to wait. I won't be getting a new tablet until September at the latest and my emergency stash of funds will go towards daily necesseties. It sucks, but what can you do? Who knows? Maybe I'll get a new model earlier. We'll see. For now, it is late and I hoped to get some commissions done tonight but it looks like that is not happening. I'll have to let the commissioners know. A lot of my clients are awesome, understanding people. Hey folks, if you ever plan on doing commissions, always let your commissioners know of any setbacks. It creates some understanding and trust between client and artist.
On a side note: yes, I will be opening commissions online at some point. I am not a big name on FurAffinity, but my watch list is growing (I got follows from some big names like Kenket!) and I hope it'll be enough to get at least a couple of people interested in getting images from me. My gallery is 100% safe for work and I plan to keep it that way.
Well, that's the update for now. I wish it was good news, but it's not the end of the world. Fingers crossed I get a new tablet soon. Toodles for now.

- I know I said I was going to update on the 12th, but I had a lot of problems with my computer's internet connection and whenever I did manage to get a connection, coming to update this site with news didn't cross my mind. Well, the problem has been taken care of and now I can update freely.
What I was going to mention on the 12th was that I decided to go along and purchase the American Charizard Tomy plush. It's expensive everywhere you go. $40 at FYE, Hot Topic, Toys R Us, online retail stores... anywhere they sell this plush, he's pricey. However, I don't want him to go the way of the Japanese Tomy plush and end up running around $300. So better safe than sorry.
Well, that was the 12th. I got mine online and he arrived a few days ago. He can only be described as absolutely stunning. Not as stunning as the Japanese plush, but he's pretty big and yes, he is very soft. Even though I bring up the Japanese plush in comparison, this plush and the Japanese plush are different. The Japanese plush is a lot larger and the head looks better made. Still, not bad for an American item! Definitely a must have for a Charizard collector.
Other items that I have received in the mail- both the Rockruff Pokédoll and Incineroar Pokémon Center plush arrived! Rockruff looks too cute for words and Incineroar is massive! These plush are a lot larger than the Pokémon Center plush released in the past. Lovely guy is very well-made, too.
On the subject of new gets, syminka has picked me up a lot of little HTTYD plushies. All the main dragons except Barf and Belch got a plush. Or maybe they did and they were sold out? Well, I'll be getting those little guys soon along with the American Arcanine and Growlithe Tomy plushes. Can't wait to get these lovelies in the mail. Man, it's great to be back home and collecting.
That's all the news for now. More to come once Amiami gives me my totals for the pre-orders I have.

- Back home! I dropped dead from the long flight, but yes, I made it home in one piece. It was an experience I will never forget. I learned more Spanish than I did going in (and I thought I knew Spanish before I left!), tried interesting new foods, met great people, been to interesting places with little to no infrastructure... overall, I had a blast. I would love to go back one day. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was paying more to use my phone with telephone cards, but even that wasn't too terrible. Also, the differences in the temperature of what I experienced in Panama back to Nevada was astonishing. It's actually cool and dry. In Panama, it was deathly hot and humid and rained most of the time.
I can't say I'll miss the weather in Panama, but I won't be in Nevada for long, either. I'll be moving late July back to my home state of Texas. Makes me sad because I loved the weather, the landscape, and the people here, but it's getting a bit too pricey and I would love to be back home with all of my family. I have to admit I miss the food in Texas, as well. If there's one thing about Texas that I'll never diss, it's the food.
But enough about that! Onto my collection news. I got to see my toys in person and they are even better than I imagined them to be! I love them to pieces, especially the Lycanroc PC plushes. I didn't expect the Banpresto plushes to be soft because they almost never are, but their expressions are adorable and they are a nice small size (expect for the larger Rockruff). The sleeping figures are some of my favorites, too. I can't wait to take pictures of these babies, but that will not happen til after the move, and since all the cable companies take forever to set things up, that's why I have September as my next photo month instead of August. I don't trust I'll be getting internet until then.
Oh yeah, it's common knowledge by now, but there's also the new Pokémon games coming out. I'm actually looking forward to those since I want to know more of what has happened after the events of Sun and Moon. A lot of people were upset the games weren't called Pokémon Stars, but after two generations of not getting a third version that doesn't tie in directly with the first two games (such as Gray and Z), you'd think people would get it by now that Game Freak is just teasing and people should just go along with it. I certainly wasn't expecting Stars but I was expecting something along the lines of a sequel, and it looks like I'm getting my wish, so I am happy. I'm already looking forward to November.
That's all for now. I am going to enjoy some of my favorite foods that I couldn't have while living abroad and I'll be back later tomorrow with an update. Toodles.

- One more day til I am back in the US! I'm so excited to see my new toys! I probably will not be updating tomorrow because by the time I get home I'll be dead from the long trip mixed in with all the Xanax taken so I don't freak out on the plane.
Once I am back home, I would love to take the time to get at least two of my settei matted and framed for the next picture day. If any of you are wondering why I am taking so long to getting these images framed, the main reason it's taking so long is because I cannot just go out and buy a frame for these things. They are at a size where none of the frames made in the US will fit (the settei I have purchased go by international paper size standards, which the US doesn't abide by). They need to be customly matted to fit a US frame because I don't want any of the details to be cropped and this can be a little pricey. That's why getting them ready to display on this site has taken so long. So bear with me on that.
Other than that, things are looking to be done on schedule. I am hoping to purchase that Tomy Charizard plush that was released in the US. It's an expensive plush, but I want to get it soon before it gets too expensive to the point where I'll regret not getting it now. We'll see. Maybe by Sunday I'll make up my mind. For now, I just want to think about getting back home.
I also expect to get back to finishing those garage kits. I know that has been put off for two years. I want to start but I always get this bad anxious feeling, like I'm going to do so bad and I just threw away $400 for nothing. Then again, it's been thrown away if I don't do anything period. We'll see. I just need to get over myself first. I'll probably take one of those Xanaxes before I start to calm myself before I work. XD
Well, that's all for now. No collection updates at the moment. There will probably be an announcement on Sunday once I am back home and unpacked. Then I have to start packing to move in July. Fun times ahead.
Catch you all next time.

- Two more days til I go home. One of the things I look forward to seeing is all of my new gets in person. I am dying to see those Lycanroc plushies.
But that's not the reason for the update. First off, all the banners on the site have been updated. Drawing quadrupeds is a lot more fun than drawing anthros. I hope they are up to snuff. I had a blast drawing all of them.
- Onto my second update, and this involves collecting: I pre-ordered the PLEX NEO and GEM Charizard figures on Amiami. I don't want to miss out on their first run and they look like gorgeous additions to my collection. I am very excited to get those two when they come out and I am making room for them in the display shelves. The PLEX NEO figure may be a problem to display because it looks very big, but I'll figure something out.
That's all for now! Catch you cats on the flipside.

- Five more days until I am back in the US! What a wonderful experience this trip has been and I hate to cut it short like I did, but fortunately, Panama will always be there. I plan to go back again sometime in the future, but for now, I'd like to just focus on the rest of the year, which includes me moving once again to be closer with family.
But enough about that! Onto what I really wanted to update on. I purchased both the Incineroar Pokémon Center plush and the Rockruff Pokédoll. Two items I have been wanting for a long time but couldn't purchase until now. Next item to scratch off my list is the large-size Lapras plush. That is going to be a pain to take a picture of, but damn, I can't wait to get my paws on it! That's going to be fun and I look forward to seeing it in person.
Other items that are on my "must have it now" wants list are the PLEX NEO Charizard and GEM Charizard figure that comes with Ash and Pikachu. I'll be on the lookout for those on SMJ and they're other pieces that I look forward to adding to my collection. I also want to get a couple of items from the Look Upon the Stars PC promotion because of Midnight Lycanroc.
Lot's to look forward to and lots to get.
- You may have noticed many of the banners have been updated around the site. The cat mascots got a makeover and they're now on four legs with more cartoony looks to them. Blame my binging on Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Only a few more banners to go until they are all updated. Besides the big cats being on four legs, the artwork has also been updated with a cleaner look and a thinner outline. I hope they're more pleasing to the eyes.

- Titles and information were added to a good chunk of blank images on this site. The only page to be missing information and titles are the images in the Disney page. Those will be added later today. Once that is done, I'll be caught up and I'll be able to do other things on the side that are not too noticeable to new visitors, like updating the images with a different resolution and adding Japanese text information to items that need it. So far so good in the land of getting things done.
- Picture day is set for September, but no day has been chosen yet. A day will be picked sometime in August.
For now, I bid you goodnight!
- It is now 4:40 PM and as of now, all information and titles have been added. I have finally caught up with what really needed to be done and now I can get to doing little things here and there. Thank goodness.

- Hello world! I am taking this moment to update my site. I am just getting to finally adding information and titles to all the recently uploaded pictures on this site. By recent, I mean since January. Yeah, I'm sorry for the wait. Things have been wild lately. I am relieved that things will get back to normal by September. I'll be back in the US on June 10th. Soon! After that, I'll be preparing to pack all my stuff and move back to my home state on July 26th. Moving is not fun, but things will be back to normal following the move.
As for new gets, I'll be getting the Incineroar PC plush and Rockruff Pokédoll. In June, the Lapras giant plush will be released and yes, I am very excited for that one.
If there's one thing I would love to get, it's one of the life-sized Eeveelution plushes coming out. I'd like at least one of them. Espeon is the top contender, but I'd love Jolteon as well. I feel so bad for Syminka, knowing she is an Eevee collector and these plush just made her endeavor much harder. Top speed to you if you are reading this, love.
For now, just one step at a time. I'll be continuing the updates to what needs updating in this site at the moment. Toodles.

- Lioness's to-do list has been updated! Take a look.
- Long time no update! Still out of the country, but I will be back in the US in June! However, not only will I be back in the US, I will also be moving back to my home state of Texas in July. I loved Nevada, but it's time for me to be closer to my family! I'll miss the friends I made in both Nevada and Panama, but thank goodness for this thing called email and in Nevada's case: texting. Plus, those places will still exist for me to visit in the future!
Some new gets have arrived! I do want to start a new collection of the cartoon dogs, Muttley and Astro. I've been watching a lot of Hanna Barbera cartoons recently and I thought I disliked them but I've grown to like them a lot in recent times. They have their charms. I don't know why I disliked them before. Knowing me, I probably didn't like them because they looked cheap looking and the humor was a little bit too goofy. However, reading a bit about animation history, Hanna Barbera managed to create something memorable for an entire generation of children with a small budget. They deserve a lot of credit for that.
Speaking of HB, I noticed something about their cartoons. Despite creating some goofy stuff, their serious stuff was pretty intense. If you were to watch something like Yogi Bear and Jonny Quest, you would think they were made by two different companies. They're made by the same people, and it shows they weren't afraid to go beyond their comfort zone. Pretty neat.
So yes, another collection to start soon. I just love collecting and showing what I have. For that, trying to get every single Charizard toy is a ridiculous aim. I'd love to expand my Charizard collection, but not at the expense of collecting other things I love. I guess that's why I didn't make this site a pure Pokémon site.
Having lots of collections is fun! Too bad I couldn't squeeze in Five Nights at Freddy's like I wanted to in the past, but I guess it didn't impress me too much. Besides, the toys are a bit pricey and I'd focus on something else.
Lots of new gets to post in the future. Hell, lots of stuff to still update with new information in the future. Sorry for putting that off. It's a lot harder to keep this site updated in another country than I thought. However, a picture day may be in store this coming August or September. I look forward to coming home!
For now, toodles!

- Sorry for lack of updates. It's not that I haven't been getting stuff, but there have been a lot of up and downs in my life that have been so overwhelming to the point where I just have to return home.
Long story short, I will not be in Panama for the whole year. I will be cutting my trip short and will be returning the the US in June. It's not anything to do with the country itself. Panama has been a fantastic experience that I hope to return again, but personal issues have required me to cut it short. Unfortunately, it's beyond my control and it's probably for the better.
The positive side to this is that I will be updating my site sooner than later. I have a ton of toys that I need to take pictures of and add to this site. I haven't updated since March 26 and I've made a lot of purchases since then.
Yes, I did get the Pokémon Center Alolan charms of the Pokémon I collect. I bought a lot of Lycanroc and Litten/Torracat stuff that I am just giddy of posting online to show off. There's more to it than that, but for now, I'm just going to make it short and mention that. Lioness's to-do list will not be updated today but when I do update it, I'll mention it.
So, yes, that's it for now. More later in the future for sure!

- Wow. It has been over a month since I have posted, and it's not because I have not been online. I HAVE, just not online to fix up this website. I guess the month-long neglect comes from being busy with other things and being in another country away from my toy collection for a bit. That's no reason to not post once in a while. And yes, another thing: I will be adding information to blank toy uploads, adding what needs to be uploaded since late January, updating the pictures that need updates, add Japanese names... yes, I know there's a lot to fixing up my hobby site. But remember, this is what it is: a hobby site. My priorities at the moment are not on it right now, even though I bought a shipload of stuff since I left. I'll be adding information on that in a bit because there is a lot to brag about, but I do want to go off-topic for a while.
- If you know me from Bulbagarden or even Livejournal, I tend to go by the name of ocelotlrama and I did for the longest time since my name change from pantherotter. I have a habit of not using the same username online for more than four or five years. While I love playing an online "purr"-sona, I change my username often without actually changing my pursona.
In the furry world, my purr-sona is a jaguar, but that doesn't stop me from changing usernames when I can. Livejournal is a different beast. It doesn't allow for a name change unless you fork over $15 for the option. I said "screw that" to that option. Furaffinity doesn't allow a name change at all and what you get in the beginning you are stuck with unless you change accounts. I'm not too interested in doing that on an art site where I consider myself the luckiest person on earth just to get over 50 followers (yes, I'm that pathetically unknown). However, on Bulbagarden's forums, they allow name changes for free but they have a 90 day limit cap on how often you can change your username. If you see some person known as "Precious Pupp" anywhere on the net and likely advertising this site, that's me. I recently got a Twitter page and my Twitter handle is @Precious_Pupp and yes, I advertise not only this page but my Furaffinity, as well.
Why all of a sudden have I gone from using a cartoon jaguar that I created as my avatar and username to a cartoon dog that was created not by me, but by Hanna-Barbera in 1965? Well, I recently saw a Precious Pupp cartoon. The character deeply reminds me of a lion hand puppet that my paternal grandmother made when my dad was a boy. It had red hair and yellow felt fur like the dog, but it was googly-eyed due to the eyes used with what was available. The dog character has this sad-eyed look to him. My dad gave me the puppet as a keepsake of his mother's legacy for her love of arts and crafts and to this day I still have it. I'll post a pic in the FAQs forum later, since this question came up once to me on why I changed the name (and why I am posting here about this in the first place).
All in all, I found the character cute and I loved his wheezy laugh that was made famous by another Hanna-Barbera character, Muttley, a character that was created almost 3 years later after Precious Pupp. While I'm not the biggest Hanna-Barbera fan of all time, I did find a lot of their animal characters cute, especially the non-verbal ones voiced by Don Messick. Just call me a fan.
So yes, I am still using that jaguar as my purrsona, but I'll play along as the cartoon dog where I can get away with it. It's all in good fun. This place with always be known as Big Cat Collection with the Big Cat original characters, my main purrsona will always be a jaguar named ocelotlrama, but I'll always acknowledge my favorite characters in some way where I can get away with it, whether it be by changing my avatar to even a temporary name-change. One thing's for certain: I'll always be linking back to this site wherever I go, just because I am a big show off and I want people to see my collection.

- First things first: I got my Lycanroc plushies and Torracat plush in the mail in the USA. Can't wait to see these beauties when I get home! I also pre-ordered the giant Lapras plush from Sunyshore because screw paying after-market prices should they decide to skyrocket, which I predict happening. The yen and the US dollar are very stable right now and I hope it stays that way.
- Off-topic on collecting: One thing I noticed here in Central America; there's no Daylight Savings Time! The sun sets and rises right on time and there are no seasons. I am not the type of person who really needs seasons in my life. For the first 26 years of my life, I lived in an area where there were three seasons: hot, extremely hot, and mild, all with 100% humidity in the mix. Nevada was the same thing, only it didn't get as hot as my childhood home did. I mean, it did get up to the 100s, but the humidity was never present, so the heat never bothered me as much. I can't say the same thing about Nevada winters. The winters were brutal, I guess to make up for the extreme heat of my childhood home. But hey, I got mountainous views! I couldn't complain.
Panama is just nice! Hot and humid during the day but the nights are cool enough to where all I need is a fan and I am comfortable. Very festive and friendly people, but it's not Germany in terms of keeping appointments. Very lax and slow-paced work environment to mix with fast-paced party environments. Man, I love this country!
I can't move here permanently though. There is one thing that is keeping me from living here full-time and that is the mail system. That's why I do not bring over toys that I have recently purchased with me. The odds of them getting lost in the mail is very high. Panama does have FedEx and other private companies that deliver mail, but they are expensive and there isn't a FedEx near where I'm staying. I may give USPS crap, but one thing they are not is the Panamanian mail system. Be thankful for what you have.
- Okay, enough babbling about my adventures. Time to finish adding info and past pictures I have taken so that way when I come back in December, I'll be ready to do it all over again.

- OKay, okay. It's been long enough and I am starting to add information to the items that desperately need it, especially the Gen VII page. So new, yet so empty. It sucks that I won't be able to update it until December with more goodies. There are a few more things I can add of pictures I have taken before leaving the US, but still... I got a lot of stuff coming in these next couple of months and I can't take pictures of them or even see them in person.
Well, I can't complain. So far I am loving not being in the US.

- Lots of new gets that have been added to Lioness's to-do list! I accidentally purchased two of the same batches of plush (the PC Lycanroc plushes). However, my previous post on the 7th was incorrect as it was the Pokémon Center plush that were duplicates, not the UFO plushes. It depends if Sunyshore were able to get them in the first place. I heard they sold out fast. If Sunyshore was not able to get them, well, I guess I get a refund for them. If she was able to get them, I am on the fence on selling them. I mean, I'd love them as travel buddies, especially since I am out of the country. Then again, they can sell for a good penny since they are hard to find. We'll see.
It's times like this that I wish I lived in Japan. I should have gone to school there, too.

- Still not in the US. Won't be in the US for a while. However, that doesn't mean I didn't get new gets! I got the angry-looking Rockruff plush (why is Rockruff such a difficult name to type correctly the first time X'D), both Lycanroc plushes, the large 24 cm Rockruff plush, the Torracat plush, and the Torracat Tomy figure. All of these I got from Sunyshore. On the other side of the coin at SMJ, I got the Rockruff Kid (because Sunyshore and Pokevault were sold out) and a Rockruff TakaraTomy Moncolle Get figure.
Now, in my search for an angryruff UFO plush, I may have accidentally gotten extra Lycanroc plushes in the process. If that's the case, I may have them shipped over to me overseas just so I can have them personally with me as companion buddies.
All to be added to Lioness's to-do list later. Don't expect pictures until later during the year. Also, yes, I am aware that I need to upload picutres of what I had previously. It will get done. It's just that I've been busy doing things when you are in another country. You know, like site-seeing and enjoying life. =)

- Greetings from Central America! I'm in the middle of nowhere at the moment but that doesn't stop me from logging on and continuing my website!
In case you are wondering, yes, photos of what I had prior to January 28th will be uploaded shortly. There's not a whole lot of images to post, but there's quite a bit to show off in the Generation VII page. What a year for me to be gone. There's a ton coming out that I can't wait to get my hands on. I'll be buying them but I won't be taking pictures until I come back, which will not be until December. Lioness's to-do list is still up so I'll be posting new gets there, as I usually do. There's probably going to be a heap ton for me to take pictures of when I come back! I'm really excited about the Torracat plush and figure coming out in February! I love it when middle evos get love.
Just wanted to stay updated. Come back to see the images uploaded during the coming week. Ta for now!

- I know what you are thinking, "How come you haven't updated with not only information and titles to pictures you have uploaded, but you also didn't keep update on picture day (which was yesterday) as promised?"
I am leaving the country on January 28th. It has been chaotic these past few weeks preparing. I will be winding down on the packing in a few days but I also have a bunch of goodies coming in from Pokevault that I want to take shots of before I leave. After that, I will not have any picture updates for the entire year with December being the earliest. I want to pack in as much as I can before I take off.
So please bear with me! I can say that what I have coming in is going to be great!
See you then!

- No updates to the recent images I have yet. It's coming folks. Just got a little busy with something in the meantime.
I got two new pieces of artwork ready for the Generation VII page. Both forms of Lycanroc to get ready for the new merch they have coming up! They already have figures out but there are plushes to look forward too, as well! For now, the images have been added! Go and take a look! Or take a look when I actually do information updates. Whichever works for you.
So it makes sense to add something for them! Next image I will be making is the banner. Now I gotta think up a fun gimmick of a big cat character I have with a Generation VII theme... Since it's based on Hawaii, I have an idea of what I'm going to do! See you soon with that update!

- Happy new year, everyone! Out with the old, in with the new. The 2016 Updates and News page has been archived and we now continue on with a fresh Updates and News page for 2017.
- First update for the new year- both the Weebly starter pack and the domain name have been renewed for the next year. So that has been taken care of and I no longer have to worry about either expiring anytime soon.
- I will be going through all the new images I posted and adding titles and information to them today and throughout the week. Of course I will keep you updated on when I finish.
- Both forms of Lycanroc are not only getting new plush but new figures have been released a few days ago! I will be drawing images of both forms so when I purchase their items, I will already have images for them on this site! I also need to draw a banner for the Gen VII page. Right now I have a placeholder there but that'll be changed soon.
- Despite the fact that I will not be in the states for almost the entire year, expect lots of updates in regards to what I am going to add in the future. Toodles for now and enjoy the new year!
